Hi Gav. Thank for the awesome resource! I'm installing a Webasto Airtop 2000 heater into my Ford Transit Custom and wonder how to hook up the fuel intake. Is the system under pressure or can I just T into one of the fuel lines?
Hi Gav, Great videos mate, I have just purchased a 2015 transit custom 2.2 with 37,000 miles. I feel it’s a bit rattly when cold,is this normal? Or should I see if the pcm software needs updating?
Thanks for the vid chap I’ve got similar on a 2018 Transit 350L rear wheel drive boosts well until intermittently no power won’t rev past 2900rpm temp reads 49 after run! Using Solis Ultra with live data Haven’t done cold test yet so thinking either this or Egr as Egr readings go dead on test?

Can i ask a question, i have a 2013 2.2 custom. It cranks but wont start. Iv just found low tank fuel pump pressure at 5psi so just waiting for a pump, whats require fuel pressure on fuel rail? And id like to check the fuel temp sensor, do you know good ohms reading of a new sensor. Any thing i can check for the running issue would be great, my code reader picks up p0060a fault, thanks
a quick check on the fuel temp sensor would be to disconnect it a try fir it up .. if disconnected it will default to 40 degrees .. if that's your issue it will at least start up .. tbh the fuel temp wont usually stop it starting though.. the fuel pressure at the rail should be around 300bar, there's a relay for the in tank fuel pump , be worth checking the feeds at the relay first..
@@diydaly hi thank you for getting back to me, yes i repaired the bad relay fuel pump relay connection. Would you know the delivery fuel pressure from the in tank fuel pump ? I only get 5psi which seems low, i tested this pressure from pump , there is plenty of flow. I also found small amounts of brass looking clippings in fuel tank. When cranking im only getting around 2000kpa showing on my fuel rail pressure sensor. Thank you. Is there a way to contact you
@@Tattytyres low fuel pressure pump should be around 2-3 bar .. high pressure around 250-300 bar cranking so 2000kpa (20 bar) is too low.. you can contact via email contactdiydaly@gmail.com

Got a simular issue van cranks but doesn't start intermittently. No codes logged but sometimes comes up with a engine malfunction light on screen. Would this be the fix ? It is a 2.2 transit customer 2013

Hi mate, i get code p0184 sometimes and when i delete it it goes away for quiet a while, i checked the live data the fuel temperature was showing 44•C, left it for 2-3 hours went down to 35, drove it a mile or 2 then went down to 30. Its throwing black smoke. Ford transit it is. Any advice is really appreciated. Thank you

Thanks , hard to say really I wouldn’t of thought it’s due to software issue , possible injector knock if it’s bad but hard to say with out hearing it

Shouldn’t cause it to black smoke , you may have an air leak in the intake system
