I'm just here for the Toyota pushing that bus up the hill jokes.

That is one powerful bus, and so quiet too! I loved the way it climbed Mt. Bus Monkey while towing a vehicle and not leaning on the rpm's to get there! Likewise, how quiet it was on the post-test run!

each time i see a video from you guys ,i think , these buses must feel like they are in heaven in your shop, a visit to Bus Grease Monkey must be a wet dream for every bus ...amazing to see the state of these buses somethimes, and to hear the horrorstories about other shops , nice that they find the way to real passionate and honest mechanics ... greetings from Belgium !

That 180° fitting makes all the difference. Not just 10 holes, but 4 hole duals on smaller busses and pick up trucks.

Painting the roof with reflective white paint is an excellent idea. It will definitely help keep the bus cool in the summer and reduce the A/C load.

The roof turned out looking nice. I’m sure he’ll love the new solar panels but he might miss that A/C unit this summer.

I've been in that neck of the woods many times! It is beautiful country. We recently bought land in Soddy Daisy! We plan on making a trip to Franklin this summer to see the battlefield up there kind of near to your plot!

You should have a std fee for every bus , 1.5 hours for air leaks, replace Kingpins, replace bearings , replace airbags.
Almost every bus needs those items LOL 😂😂

Just seems like every bus has air leaks, cheap parts / more or less constant usage , prematurely wearing out ?

We all know that sound @11:02 but we ignore it for the moment prioritizing the stress to the steep downgrade at the moment and no matter what the mess back there , we will get to clean it up later . . . God willing!

We don’t hear them as much in the area where we built the shop on the property. They don’t bark constantly like they used to either.

What’s the deal with the roof top skin around the AC hole ? There are old rivet holes around the edge but that skin is wiggling everywhere. That’s why I don’t like rooftop ac unit and prefer a basement unit. No extra rooftop holes and you only have the escape hatches.

    • @BusGreaseMonkey

Whom ever installed them was a butcher. They could have mounted them 8” off center and only cut through the sheet metal. Unfortunately the cut through the main center roof spar for all 3 of those air conditioners.
