The BotW trailer music was included on the official OST which released over a year after the game came out, after the DLC, so probably the same with the TOTK trailer.
The credits sequence for the game has a clean version

There was some expectation for TOTK, and it delivered. Just didn't have the same surprise factor.

Ok so what I meant was that both had brash, loud, and pronounced music. In the end BoTW had more ambient sound track (it’s good but not the same as the trailer). Meanwhile TOTK kept up with the loud music throughout the game.

The best music change in TotK is that the horse riding music starts waaaaay earlier when you mount a horse. So that you hear more than 10 seconds of it before you inevitably jump off to grab a hylean shroom
Or have the battle theme play cos you rode a bit too close to an enemy camp

actually, that's a pretty good point
Breath of the Wild was way more focused on the story and Tears of the Kingdom was way more focused on gameplay (I think they balance out pretty well but they definitely don't have the same amount of focus)

@@YokeTB The reason I feel like BotW focused more on the story is because a huge part of it was learning about what happened 100 years ago. I understand we do sort of the same thing in TotK, but it just doesn't feel as connected to the gameplay storyline to me.

I’d liked the two early trailers but they were pretty small showings. I think Nintendo got tired of the people saying totk was just $70 dlc. This was a show of force.

Nah, no Zelda trailer music is going to ever be better than the 2016 BOTW trailer where the main leitmotif for the game was played on an erhu. TOTK does not beat the best choice in instrumentation of the decade.
