[SOLVED] Fortigate evaluation license registration status changed to INVALID

*IMPORTANT*: A newly deployed FortiGate-VM no longer has a valid evaluation license! docs.fortinet.com/document/fo...
You need to run these commands to enable a permanent eval license:
execute vm-license-options account-id [e-mail]
execute vm-license-options account-password xxxxxxx
execute vm-license
get sys stat. The following output is expected:
License Status: Valid
The old method provided in this video is still correct for old versions (before 7.1 ?). So please give it a thumb up anyway!

This easy solution keeps time sync on your Fortigate untouched and therefore always correct. Many functions require clock on the firewall to be set right. Even when clocks set correctly, they will differ after some amount of time because of clock drift. Setting time manually or disabling NTP synchronisation can lead to various issues in the future.
You need to execute only a few commands to avoid this error:
- disconnect the VM network
- set the BIOS clock to UTC
- set the timezone in Fortigate
- connect the VM network
