You got to give this Jace credit for not being like ANY other Jace. So many of them are just + to draw, - to bounce, and ult to interact with graveyards/libraries.

Just add Treasure Map over Legion's Landing, 2 Tezzeret over Jace, and 2 Walking Ballista over the other 2. Get a ton of Treasure, cast huge walking Ballista? Thoughts? Hoping to get some answers from people who are much better than I am.
Seeing Ultimate Jace Works in action and living the dream of a Jace army getting there was the highlight of my day. Other than that, hoping you get around to writing up on that Scarab Pirate control deck you 5-0'd with. Looks real competitive.
It was the last FNM before the Kaladesh/Hour Of Devastation rotation, and I had brought a deck that included all of my favorite cards that were rotating out. But among them was one that was surviving rotation: a one-of Jace, Cunning Castaway. It was the first match of the evening, and I had won game 1 relatively unopposed. He was running a budget build of mono-white mid-range, and yet, he had the advantage on board, and I needed to do something. After considering my options, I ran out my one-of Jace. I knew he would probably just swing into Jace, and that would be the end of him. But he screwed up. He let Jace be, and kept whittling away at my life total. His mistake. His funeral. Some 10-ish turns later, I ultimated Jace. After another 5-ish turns, things got good. I ended up taking him by swarm, as my NINE Jaces (the original plus 8 copies) began unleashing hoards of 2/2 Illusions! We had begun to attract the other players into a small crowd around our table (possibly due to my euphoric cackling) as my Jace population began bleeding onto the next table and the Illusion beat-down commenced! That was the most fun I'd had at an FNM in a while.
I honestly think it's a bug with mtgo with the 'scry to the bottom, draw the card' deal. I've seen it happen multiple times with decks that only have one of a certain card and then that same card that was sent to the bottom is drawn.
Maybe next time something like that happens, Seth should go back into the game post-loss and hit the draw card button over and over and over again until he's drawn to the bottom and can see whether or not there's a scarab god and a glacial fortress, or whatever cards it is, on the bottom.

I love token builds and I've actually tried a similar version of this deck. It doesn't draw very well, the Jace being double blue makes him difficult to play, and anything you want to do is always a turn behind your opponent. Hence against the odds I guess But I settled on a much more durdley Azorious token build, I'm going to Fnm with it I'm just going to see the meta before I commit to removal or counterspells. Also Dinosaurs wreck these slow token strategies due to all the trample and fast clock.
Future promo material? Actually, they'll never do it because it would be either confusing or a terrible product (a chase token that could get more expensive than Jace itself).
+SaintedPlacebo I truly doubt a token with pretty much all text and art of a mythic rare just with a different framing and type box would not be terribly confusing and even troublesome (aside from probably expensive). I don't think it will happen, but, well, WotC surprises us every now and then.
Rodrigo Silva the expensive part of a mythic rare is that it is legal for use in your 60. It's the same as an emblem or a token. People might like the vanity of them or use them as proxies but as long as you can't sleeve them up for your 75 they won't be crazy expensive imho
So in the rules it says that if you block with multiple creatures on a creature with enrage, the ability will only trigger once? That doesnt make sense to me, the card seems worded in a way where if you block ripjaw with 5 1/1's its controller would draw 5 cards.

Yay my favourite Jace is getting used! I still think people are passing up Cunning Castaway prematurely. "Blue doesn't want to be aggro" well, what's with all these blue aggro card they just printed? lol
These games only make me wish they made a Jace token for the physical card game. I can't imagine how annoying it would be to play this deck physically and have to find some way to track 2, 4, or 8 Jaces if your opponent doesn't scoop. Could you imagine having 32 of them out and the logistical nightmare that would come from it?
So many of these against the odds decks are wonderful spicy archetypes, but I find for the format too many rely on wishful thinking to get to the midgame, leaving you all but dead by the time you'd be stabilizing. I mean I know they're more for fun than competitiveness; but still, getting to see them do their thing more often is nice, as well.

Yeah, this is true. I think that Seth oftentimes forgets some of his own insights or lessons. Like how he wrote that article "The Small Things" (or something like that) but then disregards how much value you lose by conceding early or thinking certain plays "don't matter". I think he could improve in this area.

I am playing Jace in a UR tempo deck, he is very strong when you take over the board early.
What about an against the odds using adanto vanguard/glorifier of dusk and axis of mortality?

Damage doesn't go on the stack.
To get even more technical, combat damage resolves as a single 'damage event' for both first strike and then regular combat damage
