Sidney was near his retirement with the LFB as I think he joined in 1962 and this was 1990 it was either 55 or 30 years so he done his part ,a great series world class Tv from good old LWT when itv was king 😊😊
New LFB Morden Helmets with Visors was introduced in this finale episode Series 3 London Burning in Series 3 they introduced the new Pump And Pump Ladder Appliances as E441 and E442 which is a Dennis RS as the Shelvokes Replacement.
One of the most best memorable episodes, Sydney Tate retires from the Brigade, a funny shout a funeral parlor and George and Kelly’s dance is known to all of Blue Watch
Aw, I wish we could see intervening episodes. What happened to Charisma, Vaseline and the others? Such a pity there weren't more episodes available to the uploader. I did watch it all when it was first broadcast, but that was 36 years ago, so there's a lot I have no memory of. Still, I am grateful for the ones we can watch. :0)
Charisma, went to staff to drive officers around and returned in the later series for a few episodes and Vaseline died in series 2, if I remember he drowned
Can u give me a suggestion where to watch london burning s7 ep 11 and 12 the propane storage fire the full eposide i remeber youtube have but now dont have
I just loved the episodes with Tate, he was a firefighter. It went down hill after he left especially with Geoff Pearce joining, dreadful character that ruined it in my opinion. The early series were raw and about firefighting. Later ones concentrated more on the personal lives with hardly any firefighting.
Just noticed a blooper….when Tate takes his turn out jacket off then gets of the pump he has his undress trousers on when should be his turn out leggings and boots.
I always loved how London's burning used sax in the incidental music.
They switched from gritty fusion jazz in the early series then that horrible rock version music it the latter series.
yeah lovely gentle intro still love that...
Love the intro myself...
Station officer tate never be replaced loves London burning n watching this had tears n memories

1963 most likely Tate said in series 1 he'd served 25 years in in the LFB by that point and series 1 broadcast in 1988

Due to his BA Set Malfunctioning in the water
@@keiko909I don’t think there was much floating involved.

“Nothing” “nothing!”
The LFB should have gotten him a desk job. Stupid to just lose all that experience at the stroke of a pen.
Are you American?
@@desrowland3843 No, proudly English.
@@the_once-and-future_king. So why did you say gotten? That's an Americanism.
Luckily this isn't a documentary
It's not real
