Your enjoyment of the song is really a matter of taste, and I'm a big believer that everybody is entitled to their opinion. However, I'd argue that this song is objectively a very beautiful tribute to one of the most influential musicians of his generation. It also showcases a side of John's playing you don't see often in the Chilis.
