I agree not yet ripe apples are very bitter 😖. I thought I could leave them out for a while to ripen - but apparently that doesn’t work. I’m returning the whole bag for a refund! I’ve never done that before, but it’s the principle. …and fruit is not cheap!
Then there's the other side of that debate. I have too much room and planted more apple trees than I seem to have time to manage ( about 30). When they are all doing well it's a glorious thing to be out there enjoying the harvest. But even picking them can be stressful when you don't have enough space to store them. I had two consecutive years when my two peach trees conspired against me and cranked out 400 pounds of peaches. It was nuts.

What about judging by the average sound of your apples due to a light flick or in reference to the sound of a ripe one you flicked?
Please make a film, which shows cutting a hard, unripe, green apple.
