I think John Farnham might like Tommys cover. It wasn't dramatically different from the original: a little bit faster and a bit modernised. And as usual both voice and instruments performed with top-notch musical ability! A great song!
As a Aussie I'd have to say this is the best cover of herd of it many well named artist have tried and in my opinion had failed But this by far the best cover but unfortunately I don't think will see another like the original as john's a freak of music 🎶 world nature gave him something special and he worked it out what he shouldn't done in life But that doesn't take anything away from it The difference I noticed is John does it effortless where's you could tell Tommy was pushing himself and working hard at it But that's what made his cover good he showed respect for the song and singer cheers Tommy 🦘🇦🇺👍

As an 'Aussie' I absolutely love everything John Farnham and always will, but in reacting and being honest I will say two things: 1. Tommy's straight up tempo version of John's song is the best I have heard from any male singer, so well done and props to Tommy - I really enjoyed his cover and I'm certain John would as well and 2. The difference and the reason I feel that John's performance of 'You're the Voice' will stand the test of time and be unmatched is his charisma and presence live on stage. Also you feel and connect immediately when John performs, a true natural gift. All in all one of my favourite songs...💕🌝

1 Tommy fan ..not only music ..just amazing from a purely human perspective 2 loving the idea of adding to music .. so that is where i,m coming from 😀 My take away from Tommy is the love and care that he puts in his covers .. not only the music but also in the artists ( for the most part some songs in the more modern pop area he seems to have more fun with .. but the 80th stuff ....well thats a diffrent story). For me its seems that he just want to be a part of the songs history and and be able to share it onwards because the song/artist deserves it. For me he brings so many diffrent people togheter .. people that like metal and the harder stuff more .. the once that does not like metal but like his version anyways ..and the ones that love that a beloved artist is paid the respect they deserve. When i drops a clue some days before I often explore as much of the artist I can beforehand ,, it has become a journey in music for me .. and that is fantastic .. the world needs more of that. 😁

Was pretty good, would like to hear it live and a bit heavier. I am a heavy rock/metal/blues fan so not the biggest Farnham fan even though I hail about 10 kms where Farnham lives and have heard him most of my 58 years. First saw him in a pantomine as a 3 year old in about 1968 with my Mum and sister at a local shopping centre LMAO. Wish Tommy metalized it a bit more, needed to go harder its just a bit too over produced I reckon. Your the Voice should be the anthem of a generation, back in 1987 it wasn't seen for what it could have been.
As usual, Tommy upgraded this song. I always loved the original, but it was just a bit too slow for my taste, now it's perfect. If you play the video until the very end, you will see Tommy made a little promo for his friend and Majestica bandmate, Chris David, who just released a debut EP with his new band Wizdoom (he is still in Majestica too). They also released a video for the song Way Of The Lost, it's on Chris David's channel, and it's a truly beautiful song. Can you check it out?
Excellent musician this guy is, and definitely a good singer as well - clear and precise. Not really into the Jimmy Barnes shouting type of singers that are out there - call it my age (63) - LOL!! If I had to be critical about this one it would be the extremely long straight hair on this guy. He's got a girly pretty face and with the hair long like that, he looks more like a girl and than boy so that was overtaking the performance from my perspective. I couldn't get past that visual. But still, he did a good job with it all and I am sure the real John Farnham will see this and be impressed with the musicianship side of things, for sure!
