Why has nobody ever heard of double bluffing? this isn't just a true or false guessing game, it's psychological, you've got to do everything and anything to get into the other teams head, and both teams know that, so both teams will equally be expecting and looking for psychological strategies. he may be making it obvious or being very specific, but you gotta ask, is he being specific cause he's quick at thinking or could he just be telling the truth?
Honestly I think he was quite self conscious here and just wanted to play it safe in a sense and get through the story. He’s quite inexperienced with these types of shows and is actually very shy.

I really hope the BBC don't keep uploading these. Fremantle already gets the revenue from the WILTY? Nope! channel, and competing for uploads only makes the content more inaccessible.
Hope the BBC realise TH-cam could actually be the way forward for TV like this, crossed over with a few of the best comedians who have been on the show across the years and it would work perfectly.

To be fair I think a lot of the guests forget they're supposed to make the other team guess wrong. Like with Greg Davis, he'll always give extra details to prove it's true, and then it is true 😂 It's pretty much about telling fun stories at this point
The best guests know when the story is too good to try to make it a lie imo. Like for instance the Mark Dennis story, where Rory Reid knew he blew any chances of the other team thinking it was a lie by giving unnecessary details, but it is still one of the best stories from WILTY I think.
He's naturally and effortlessly hilarious and quick witted on TH-cam when he's relaxed and in his element. He seemed abit nervous on here and maybe a little intimidated by the comedians and t.v. personalities.
Joe made a mess of The One Show (so he said) so they probably won’t ask him to ever present that again! Joe has admitted that he’s no good without a script, so ad libbing is not his thing.
