Observational Research (Blue)

The nature of observation is the ability to see things others might not. Observation in terms of science can be the collection of certain data or values recorded or monitored by any scientific instrument during a science activity and establish a correlation. The observation method, or, in other terms, the statistical method, involves human or mechanical observation of what people actually do or what events take place in a natural environment. Observational studies are non-experimental and part of quantitative research and are theory-building and follow a phenomenological approach. The ultimate purpose of observation research is to establish a relationship (association, correlation) between variables.
The goal of this video is to 1) enhance your capacity to conceptualize, design and conduct observational (correlational) research methodologies and 2) formalize an appropriate research strategy and study design based on best practices.
