The Belkan war would make a fine modern fairytale Act I : A fortress in the clouds Act II : The knights of the Roundtable Act III : A world with no boundaries Epilogue : The mists of memory
Of all the aces I encountered in this game, my absolute favorite was Silber team. Pixy was basically reliant on Belkan bullshit. Espada Team was just buying time for Belkan bullshit. Wizard and Schnee teams relied on trickery. Gault, Sorcerer, and Schwarze teams just tried to overwhelm you with sheer numbers. Grun, Indigo, Rot, and Gelb teams used aircraft that were better than yours. But Silber team? All Silber team had was pure skill and in my mind, that made them the greatest aces I ever had the pleasure of dueling.
Silber 2(?): DAMN! *Tries punching out* Silber 3(?): *DAMMIT!!!!* Man you can really feel how frustrated the rest of Silber team was. Despite giving their all they were all outmatched by Cipher. A Mercenary who's only motivation for flying is presumably out of self interest.
Ironic that everybody but the leader where new guys who were just following a veteran’s orders. Makes it a little bittersweet when you realize those guys are literally straight out of the academy and their boss is a retired veteran who ends up losing two of his students and retires for good out of grief.
Canonically the most skilled squadron is Indigo because all four of them survived the war unlike all the other squadrons you fight against. Plus they pretty much single handedly destroyed the FATO air force, with Heinreich (Indigo 1) famously destroying *nine* F-14D Tomcats in the space of five minutes on March 30 1995.
There is something so nostalgic about this CD cover. Feels like a distant battlefield, a long time ago, fighting a forgotten war, trying to stay alive with your wingman amidst a chaotic world. The clouds, the desert, the trails on the wings, the red blood sky...don't know how to explain... Anyway great photography and great track!
You're so right. I think that it was the developer's intention. If it truly was their intention, then the job is done. Ace Combat is one of the few games out there (Minecraft, Limbo, Inside etc) that evokes player emotions like nothing else. That is the result of a game having a soul. Only if that game wasn't that underrated and the devs could afford more resources at that time..
Its a grainy old photo capturing the actual pilots who changed the war. It proves. PROVES The demon lord wasnt just a myth. He was real. And he was SCARY

that mission was crazy , planes were dropping off the sky one by one ally and enemy , it was amazing ,and the soundtrack gave the "only true aces can survive" vibes , i wish that i can play this game for the first time again.
this was kick ass. I had One guy fly right over my nose. #4. just before I blew him out of the air. After dispatching # 3. I caught # 4 from a high altitude attack. Which ended in me dropping down in him from above and shoved two missiles in his face. It was Awesome.
You would have to first see if they're compatible. Otherwise you would have to splice and edit here and there or you'll get a huge mess of a song. I suggest the assault version of Star Wolf be used since they both have a Spanish musical style.
@@SoysauceML you can make a very crude cobra by slowing down to a speed slow enough to almost stall at and pulling up while applying the air brakes to stall with your nose up, it hardly works and half of the time all it does is make you an easy target for the enemies
@@thiccchungo1041 I'm way ahead of you on that one, bud. Like 15 years before this comment. It doesn't really look great in replay mode. I wouldn't say slowing down is useless though. Making enemies overshoot is a pretty valid and practical tactic.

In no other medium have I felt like such a powerful entity. Four and five made you feel like heroes, in zero, you felt like a Demon.
a demon of the round table.
There are a few games that allows you to feel like that. Namco did a good job with this game.
Idk, 5 made me feel like a hero in the first half, then a demon in the second
It's really interesting that you can play the game like a true demon as a mercenary who shows no mercy, but in the end you end up saving the world.

Aka, the mission where Cipher nearly screws over the world
spindash64 Huckebein gets shot down no matter what though. Unless you mean making him explode so that he wouldn’t make it out.

Though a purpose made remix could work quite well.
Dat intro you should do that to zero too
I feel dirty I just decelerate until they overshoot me and I kicked those true aces's ass with all I have
I try my best not to cheese them, so I play normally. It ends up being a drawn out battle, but it's more fun for me.
There's nothing dirty about decelerating, I only wish you can pull PSM in Zero so you can pull a cobra on these aces. Well, maybe in the remake.
