I, too, thank you for this production. I have no experience with hoyers or sit to stand but wish to get an appliance that can do sit to stand and lift from floor. I would like to ask some questions: what mfg and model is the machine used for the demo? And about the lift: it seemed that the Sling was exerting a lot of pressure on the underarms. My spouse is 260 pounds and would find a lift that applied excessive pressure to the arms, quite uncomfortable. Perhaps my impression was influenced by the relative position of camera and participants. Can you comment on the sling set-up and pressure points -- and perhaps re-shoot the lift from a different angle?

Thanks for the comment. I have owned the cap Lumex LF2020 for almost 3 years.
This video used my Grandson during his one and only time being lifted by the sit-to-stand lift to show the floor pick up. I agree that the placement of the sling around him was slightly misplaced and should have been better. I am to blame for that. Now.... the rest of the story...
The sling should be secured lower (between the waste an# rib cage). When being lifted, the patient should lean back, allowing the upper torso to be lifted in a radial Arc, and in doing so, also does not drive the lower legs uncomfortably into the knee rest. When done properly, the sling is not pulled up into the armpits. Since I do not have use of my arms, they just dangle helplessly alongside my body when being lifted. I also use each lift to "reverse bend" my back muscles and structure, which feels good when we have a tendency to sit humped over when sitting in our power chairs, space bar or even in our recliners.
The topic of proper sling positioning and lifting technique could possibly be a subject for one of my future IB Myositis video channel episodes.

We just got our LF2020! We practiced tonight with our niece who is a home care provider. Brother in law put it together, and now we need to make room in the house for it and remove the rugs.
Where can we get the sling with the leg supports?

Search in Amazon or Ebay for a "toileting sling" if you are looking for a sling to get you off the floor with your Sit-to-Stand.

Has anyone used this device when alone?
