OK, I have just found another "my favorites by Mark Trammell" songs! COME ON HOME!! Oh boy! That song hit me right between the eyes! It has feeling, a message, and, such a beautiful song to listen to! Unless you're like me and try your best to play the words right off You Tube!! Wish I could find it on CD or cassette! I would definitely wear it out!
Listening to him sing, "Sin Will Take You Farther, Than You Want to Go" has stuck in my head for several days now. Those are some powerful, truthful words!! I listen to him sing every day!
I did not know much about Mark other than his great singing, I now appreciate his spirit and such a great testimony. I appreciate a person who lives what he sings.
When I first became a fan of Southern Gospel Music, I used to always hear other singers talk about how they could sit down with George Younce and Glen Payne and talk for hours and get an encyclopedia of wisdom from them. I think singers today could do the same with Mark Trammell. He's been one of my favorite singers and respected role model for years now.

YEAH, my favorite singer of all genres of music. Saved the best of the MTQ till the last.
1974 I was stationed in Sicily in the USN and was a LT. I have LPs and CDs of Marks work from Kingsmen, Cathedrals, Greater Vision, Gold City and MTT and MTQ. I have had the privilege of hearing him in multiple concerts, I am the tall white haired old lady on the right side of the audience-giggle.
My bucket list has two items to go (1) to a NQC and (2) to a Mark Trammel Homecoming...maybe next year. I would also love a DVD of his fainting spell!!!
Such an anointed man, sings like an angel and preaches like like God is truly talking through him.

I LOVED this interview! Mark Trammell is a legend and statesman of Southern Gospel Music. He IS Mr. Baritone. I could listen to him and his stories for hours......(He is not a bad singer either.) Do another interview (or two) with him and give us some more stories.

Mark Trammell is a class act! Next to George and Glen he is my favorite former Cathedrals member, which is saying a lot because they had some great singers! A professional in every sense of the word but a really down to earth nice guy!

New sub, here. I was just searching TH-cam for Mark Trammell music and landed on the interview. How've I missed seeing this for so long? Mark's my favorite active SGM singer, and one of my favorite photos is a selfie I got with him at NQC 2017.

Matthew, after listening Mark talking about the "quartets" that he sang before, the same history are common to most quartets:they sang with many other quartets in the past. Why is these very common with christian singers, specially quartets ? Guys like Eric from Triumphant, Jeff Chapman, JD Sumner, Tim Duncan, and many others?
I have heard about these changes with most of the quartets that I know.
Man how I miss George and Glen.
When are you gonna get jay parrack with gold city on the couch is it an impossible interview or something is he a hard man to get a hold of he's the best tenor that ever came along in the southern gospel music field he's the highest you got to get him on the couch man
Jay Parrack has not been around when I have been recording interviews. It’s simply a matter or being in the same place, at the same time, when we are videoing.
2017 and you still dont have anything with jay parrack get them tenor secrets will you get him on before the rapture lol but really hopefully soon then contact me because have i got ??s for a wonderful tenor like jay and huggy bear aka harald reed is one of the cleanest tenors around besides chris allman because jay chris and harald are the cleanest tenors in the game today
