    Thank you so much for your videos. I've been missing my biology classes since high school years ago, and your videos helped me understand in details certain aspects and making me want to follow another degree; in biology. Thanks from Mauritius.

    Is it possible that we don't have a receptor for a particular pathogen?

    What is apoptosis

    • @renhartung
      @renhartung  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apoptosis is basically the cell killing itself. All living human cells have this capability. Usually cells will only undergo apoptosis if a white blood cell signals them to do this or if the cell itself recognizes a major problem within itself (like too much DNA damage).

    Can cytotoxic T cell to be initially activated without help of t helper cell ?

    • @renhartung
      @renhartung  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question. I asked that same question to an immunologist researcher up at Western Muchigan University... That researcher said that some immune cells require helper T- cells for activation while others do not and it is not clear why this is. My best guess, and it is just a guess, is that memory cells do not require T- helper cells (or at least require them less).
