Thanks for this useful overview. I just want to mention that, as far as I know, opening multiple tabs for different layouts actually consumes CPU resources. Resulting in slower loading speeds etc.
I change it sometimes to help me compose, it's really fun too. Go to engrave mode, then engrave options, when the window is open look for note coloring. Let me know if you needed more help.

Click the + button at the bottom of the Layouts panel and select the type of layout you want: Full Score Layout: If you want another full score.
