In PA, we can't burn anything. So I have to cut down the tree's first and chip upto 12 inches. Leave the stumps for last. I find that a ripper works best for cleaning . You put out great work. Keep up the awesome work and stay busy.

Ah man I wouldn't know what to do if we couldn't burn. But do you sell the chips? I thought about investing in a big chipper if I could make money from the chips

A good start on that job.

No..I don't produce enough clean chips to sell..Most of the time the chips just get chipped around the property. So it's a thin layer.,Then they kinda gets ground into the dirt. The larger logs stay on site. 90% of the time the customer wants the firewood. And I have several mulch wholesale producers close by that take the stumps for nothing.

i prefer the bucket with teeth over a ripper for tree removal. ripper immediatly limits you on what you can do. its only good for stabbing in and ripping or prying like a pry bar. both of which the bucket can do. i like the ripper on concrete removal and demo jobs because it puts the entire force of the machine on one point and destroys everything similar to a hammer but sometimes faster. that company Mongo makes rippers and they are cheap and high quality and they do answer the phone

I made a ripper for my 305 when I had it. It wasn't a quick coupler machine. Soon as I would put it on and use it, I would want the bucket back on lol. I think a double pronged ripper would be a lot better. At least closer to a bucket when you needed it

Another great video bro, definitely gave that 313 a good workout 💪. I think you might wanna invest in a ripper tooth or at least the steel to make one. It would definitely make your life a bit easier doing these types of jobs. Better yet build one like Letsdig 18 has with 2 teeth and you can get the full effect of your thumb at the same time and have twice the root cutting ability. Either way I enjoy your videos.

I would love to have a ripper for this job. It's the hardest ground I've ever worked it. Would a ripper be good enough to snap the limbs and break up the tree though? I have a quick couple so it wouldn't be a problem to put the bucket back on though

@@smithworx1091 well see if you built a 2 tooth type ripper you can use the thumb to grab stuff the same way you would with the bucket. Yes it would be more difficult with a single tooth though. I guess it's all about preference at the end of the day.

Just curious if it wouldn’t be easier to break up the trees and stack them into the burn pile as you took them down instead of having to work around the mess of trees scattered around your work area.

Yes. But I wanted to get down some of the trees to give me room to lay down everything to the inside. I plan to sit at the bottom of the hill and drag most of it to me. I figure it's gonna be a hassle sitting on the side of the hill and the less I have to move things the better. Or the less I have to track back and forth the better.

Oh yeah and the biggest reason is I will have to chainsaw some of these so I like to lay down several that way I'm not in and out of the machine so much when I run the saw

You forgot to say “please Like, Share & Subscribe”. And did you know you can have Patrons (idiots) send you some money for diesel fuel?
