  • We welcome you in Jesus name to worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Eucharist as we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord. The Rev’d. Dr. Cary Larson, Presiding Pastor of the AALC, preaches “Holy Pastors: Whose Child?” (1 Samuel 1:21-28). The color of the day is white, which signifies the joy of eternal life with the one true God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson leads the singing of joyous hymns: “In His Temple Now Behold Him” (Entrance); “The Infant Priest Was Holy Born” (Hymn of the Day); “Now Sing We, Now Rejoice!” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “From Heaven Above to Earth I Come”; “Infant Holy, Infant Lowly”, “Draw Near and Take the Body of the Lord.”
Special music for the weekend: Bill Glisson’s prelude “In His Temple Now Behold Him: Fanfare and Trumpet Tune” (Lasky); Teresa Hall and Joe Huppmann sing “He Breaks the Bread; He Pours the Wine” (Hayes) at the 8:30 a.m. offering. Bill’s postlude is: “ln Dulci Jubilo” (Martin).
