The ending just breaks my heart because it shows people walking away from Lance and leaving him alone, showing how people continuously doubted him and didn't mind his ideas and skills. But the very last scene is when Voltron isn't needed anymore and he's able to just live his life peacefully on earth; he finally looks like he's happy and not constantly trying to prove to the team that he's not the dumb one. Also, why doesn't this have more views?
I wanted it to show Lance's struggle and feelings of abandonment because in the show, it was not really said, but he was lonely because everyone was busy doing things without him: Keith and Lance got closer and then Keith left for the blade so Lance could fly Red, Allura was always pushing him away (until the last seasons, but since this is about his struggle I didn't chose to include that), Pidge and Hunk worked together well because they are both mechanically/technologically inclined so Lance didn't fit there, Shiro's clone was mean to Lance, and Coran was always doing something. In the end, even the lions left, but by then Lance was more at peace because the war was over and his friends were back together. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Ti Daly I find her not accepting keith understandable in season 2 cuz she obviously has some trauma about what happened as it happened right in front of her before the cryo sleep. (Speaking from experience, trauma is a bitch and can cloud your thinking). What matters is that she realised she was wrong. What I do find annoying though is she constantly turns him down, lotor dies and is evil, and Lance is basically just a rebound for her. Lance and Allura’s romance came out of nowhere and didn’t build to it.
I feel like even the ending he didn’t really get a happy ending. He looked more depressed. He didn’t have someone romantically physically anymore and I feel as if he would grieve so much into killing himself. Call me dumb or say I’m wrong but rewatching and finishing all 8 seasons in two days showed me that Lance was by far most the strongest. I feel like he wouldn’t leave until he saw his family and he was with Allura. Then Allura died and even tho he saw his family in some of the ending scene I can see right through what’s considered his ‘smile’. He’s slowly losing hope. I wish for a 9th season and each episode is what’s going on in each Paladins life right now. I know this ended back in 2018 but this needs an actual final season. Honestly we were more left on a cliffhanger than the wrapping up of the show.

He was one of the truest paladin's, he fought to win because he knew it was right he was willing to give up everything he wanted (to be a pilot) for the betterment of the team He took there insults and remarks with little to no response, allows himself to be the punching bag because he thinks he deserves it So he puts 110% of himself into being a good paladin, not even the best, he just wants to be a good paladin We never see him get swept up in another notice or goal for the most part And do all of these behaviors spell out a good mental health and healthy work ethic, no, but it does show how good he was and how important his role in Voltron was He deserved so much better from his team
At the end of S8 I remember just curing up into a ball and crying because of how much I wanted Klance to happen. Allurance was done so horribly. This makes me feel a little better
Garlicofa Spunge I agree. The writers set is up for them to have a really slow burn beautiful relationship and then changed it at the last minute to punish all the rude fans and shippers. It was really childish of them, but with the ending they threw together Lance and Keith could still get together later on. In a way they left it open to imagination.

They changed the plans so many times while writing and that was one of the very obvious changes they made toward the end. That's why so many people were upset. (That and a lot of them were shipping Klance with a little too much aggression...) In my opinion, this is a perfect depiction of what Lance's canon character arc looks like. That's not impolite at all. This is pretty much what I saw happening in the show, and although his arc should have been different, this is what we got. We never got a happy ending for Lance. I'm glad you liked the video and recognized my efforts to match the video to the audio. When I heard this song I thought of Lance immediately and knew I had to make this.

He might act silly but he has a deep personality and has more to him, he was willing to give up as a paladin of voltron for the good
He makes sure everyone else is happy at the expense of his own mental health. I’m season seven you can see him slowly breaking as they travel

Honestly Allurance was Allura's consolation prize after Lotor go bye bye so Klance needed to be Lance's and the audience's consolation prize for S8
