Fools say Melbourne was 'boring' then. That's rubbish. It was beautiful. Gracious. Spacious. A bountiful boom city that invented the 8 hour day and the weekend (and therefore the modern era). The best place on earth to live. Now because of over population becoming like every other big city - overcrowded, ugly. Sustainable Australia Now.

Yes Marvellous Old Melbourne. I'm a " Baby Boomer " Wonderful memories. Yes I would love to
have it all back again, people used to look both ways when crossing a road, instead of looking
at their mobiles, mothers used to talk to their children instead of looking at mobiles.
Growing up in Yarraville, Saturday afternoons were just the best at the Sun Theatre. 50's.

I used to live in St Kilda back in 1965, my parents emigrated from the UK, at a time when I didn’t want go, as I was a teenager growing up in London, it seemed so different to what I was used to, I returned home 1967/68, I’ve never regretted coming home, but I made good friends, while I was there, some of my family still live there, I visited a few times, I always go back to where I lived and and worked, this film is so familiar as that was Melbourne at the time.

The Lord giveth and taketh away. We must trust in God. God is all there is. We must each accept our destiny as we have no control. Every living thing er see around us has to die one day. Humans, animals, plants, everything. Life is precious and we must thank God for all we have had the chance to experience and for the time we are given here. Never fear death as it is a part of life. We are given life on condition that we will die one day. The important thing to remember is that our soul lives on, and that nothing is nowhere as bad as we think it is. I don't know in which country you live in bcz you fear communists. Every country has its ogres that we have to live with. Crime and corruption in these times is worldwide. We can only put our trust in God. God sees everything. He will punish the guilty evil ones 1x1 when their turn comes. I have been surrounded by evil ppl for most of my life. They are everywhere. I have also seen how they come and go. Most of them have died off long ago. They are in hell now. I'm sure I will never see them again. No matter what evil deeds others do, we must not go down to their level. We must help those worse off than ourselves and God will take care of us. I know God sends his Angelic messengers to rescue us when we are threatened. I know. I was saved many times by a mysterious being who came to help me when no human did. This is WHY I believe and trust in God. He knows WHO His good ppl are and He guards our safety. He also knows WHO the evil ones are. I would never want to be in their shoes. I am in a tremendously difficult situation too. If I don't believe in God, my life would be HELL on Earth. Remember evil rules for now, but their time is short & coming to an end. The accompanying music took me straight to Terry Jones: “There will now be a whopping great intermission, during which small ice creams in very large boxes will be sold. Another way we can drive people away from the cinema is by showing you advertisements.”

As a lad, I used to earn pocket money working for the milkman on his horse drawn wagon. Showed Webb dock, my old man used to drive trucks for a living, single drive, single trailer 'old' Chev carting freight from the ships. Sometimes I'd help out. Mum used to work in the city and as a young teenager, I'd travel in, meet her and we'd have lunch in the Coles cafeteria. Life really was so much better, yes it was slower, we didn't have mobile phones or computers and we certainly didn't have credit cards. As a 8 or 9 year old a couple of mates and I would ride our bikes from Sunshine to Williamstown or Altona about 20ks to go fishing. My grandchildren won't get their bikes out of the garage if it's raining. Weak little shits. Miss the 50's, 60's and 70's
