Thanks for posting this footage; such a sweet and fun family. Great to have time with them. Hope we see them again now that they've gone higher up to the dreys to learn more squirrel things.
I know they'll be back! ❤️ Mama Roxy is just showing them how to build a back-up drey before it gets too cold. Once the temperature drops, they'll be back to their cozy nestbox with mama! 🪹
@@TheFilm2011 in our experience, mother squirrels always move their young to another nest as soon as they are old enough to leave the tree on their own. The theory goes that mothers will show babies how to forage and build nests on their own. They rarely come back to their birth nest, but it happens
@@TheFilm2011 they can return after or before a heavy rain because it may be hard for young squirrels to find a leak proof nest. But they will leave after the rain. We call this box a nursery nestbox because it is relatively far away from other trees and forested areas which makes it relatively safe from raccoon and fox predators but not as good for teaching young squirrels how they should feed themselves
Sweet loves. 😀
What a beautiful sight to see. I love how they cuddle and stretch 😂😂
Nothing more tender than baby squirrels! ❤. I'm also seeing young ones in my yard. They're very friendly and visit me often 🥰✌️
