it's really hard to find tutorials for Alias really. We have an Autodesk guide, but it's pretty shallow in a sense. So thank you for sharing this, very helpful for noobs outside of the industry.

What do you mean by leading (or lead in)? And the purpose of moving the corner CV a little bit inward before creating the transitional surface, is it meant to creat a little curvature of the side edges near the corner instead of flat ones? Does this operation give better surface continuity than directly surface filleting two flat edge surfaces?

Piao Rou yeah that’s basically it 😁

@@HandleBar3D Glad to learn something I have never thought of before even in such fundamental tutorials. I shall start to creat these lead-ins or leading...

very nice video, besides may i ask you what's the different between green continuity check sign and red continuity check sign?

邱芳廣 usually it means I didn’t reach curvature but if one side is flat that happens a lot so it doesn’t matter. My setting are quite high as well.

When you created the filletsrf it had 5 degrees, but the side surfaces which had created the fillet had had 3 degrees. Would that be why the hull transform had not updated the fillet part?

Abdullah Tarık Çelik you will have to send me a time stamp so I know when this happens in the video

@@HandleBar3D At 23:54 you created the fillet and then you moved the hulls to give volume. When you move the hulls of surface the hulls of fillet surface did not update. I was asking if the reason for that is the inequality of surface degrees?(i guess the fillets degree was 5, the surfaces for 3.) I hope I explained it.

Abdullah Tarık Çelik I see, yeah I don’t know why the tool failed. It wasn’t because of the degree differences though. The fillet tool doesn’t take into account the degrees, you can use any number of degrees and the tool should work. The tool isn’t exactly perfect though and many times it will just fail.
