Thanks! You'll get higher tech (check specs: alnk.to/dWcwvyQ ) and additional value with the Discover 2, and you'll see it in the higher price. They both ride smoothly and Lectric offers a torque sensor (lectricebikes.sjv.io/GmPNym) while the Discover 2 lets you swap between torque and cadence, as preferred for your ride. So if you're looking to pay less, the Lectric XPress is still a nice ebike.
The controller is 24 amps, not volts... whereas the battery and charger are 48 volts (I don't see a problem with this). Also, the motor has a proprietary M24 technology. A lot of numbers to try to keep track of 😂
Yes, suggested rider height is 5'2" and up. I'm only 5'1" and still fit fine. To make sure though, compare the bike and your wife's measurements (such as arm reach and leg inseam): lectricebikes.sjv.io/GmPNym These measurements are more important than height itself.
It's a torque sensor. Lectrics "PWR" system simply means that the throttle is tied to the PAS you choose. PAS 1 only gives you throttle up to 9 mph. PAS 2 gets you up to 12 mph etc. If you choose to pedal, how much pedal assist you get will depend on how much pressure you put on the pedals. The PAS setting adjusts how much assist you get for that effort. Touch the throttle and all pedaling is disregarded and the speed is limited only by the PAS number you are in. Kinda weird but it makes sense once you are on the bike. Most bikes give you full throttle no matter what PAS you are in. I wish companies would allow you to switch which mode you want. Sometimes Lectrics makes sense (when you are in crowds of pedestrians or want to use the throttle yet go slow) and other times throttle full power makes sense. On my Lectric I have to remember to switch PAS to 5 if I plan on darting across a busy street or otherwise take off fast from a stand still.
What do you think about the price? Fair? 🚲
More than fair, actually really good
@@kathleenshae6550 Agreed!!!
Excellent choice, Lectric hits another home run.
Yep, and with the addition of the XPress, they offer every type of electric bike!
That’s a nice looking bike. It came with lots of goodies! 🤗 - excellent and very detailed review
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the review. Lectric has an excellent track record with offering freebies :)
Nice review. I like the bike.
Thanks, I hope you consider getting one!
Lectric's prices are pretty amazing for what you get.
Lectric always offers exceptional value!
Great review! I saw your review earlier on the Velotric Discovery 2. Do you have any comparison thoughts you can share between the two bikes?

@@ebikingtodayThank you!
Question: If you had to choose one e bike for personal use, cadence or torque sensor?
I prefer a torque sensor for the natural ride feel!
It is on my short list; i read the battery and motor where both 48v, but is the controller also 48v; someone said it was only 24v.. so i am not sure.

My wife is 5'-4" tall. Will this ebike be too big for her or fit ok? Thx.😊

Sooo Letric doesn't want to call their pedal assist a torque system. I so dislike proprietary/private things like this. Have a great day Lectric.
If it rides like a torque sensor, it's a torque sensor to me :)

@@clutchcargo666 Great suggestion... for ebike companies to give us a choice of throttle mode!
