The Silent Man and The Creature

An old, silent man discovers a strange creature whom he befriends. When the creature's tank breaks he has to venture into the town where he is persecuted for being odd. He eventually breaks his silence to save the creatures life and realises he had caged the creature who actually wanted to be free.
This animation created in 2016 is based on a short story I wrote.
Animated in After Effects without any character rigging. This is all just paths and manual manipulation... Character rigs weren't so popular back then and I didn't have access to them... so it has quite a unique style.
