Look I don’t know how I was in my T-44 I saw a JS-3 and it said I could do nothing to it. So I just shoot it in the upper turret and somehow the 85 penned and killed the crew. It’s broken from what I’ve seen but like irl it’s more of a bully for weaker tanks to scare them.

Long story short is that if you have skill and can move back and forth to make the turret ring weakspot hard to hit you are going to clap everyone in it. The IS-3 has armor that can resist any shell that isn’t APFSDS or HEATFS, which means if it were to be in rank 7 it would kinda suck, because it isn’t troll like the IS-4 or T-10A. However at rank 6 it is extremely broken because it fights Tiger IIs or IS-2s that are much less armoured than it. So there really isn’t a good solution other than do decompress the ranks which will take way too much effort and not really be worth it.
Can someone explain to me why the D shell is worse than the B shell for the Soviet 122mm guns? Of course I want more pen to be able to reliably pen the Tiger II or the T29 turret cheek more reliably and the D shell still has enough explosive filler to one shot, I’m not sure what the problem is
The problem is the D shell can bounce on the UFP of Leopards and The D shell has worse angled performance I would recommend use the B shell mainly and carry a few D shell to use in case you need extra pen
