Well at least we should have the state of the art "Designed in India" RISC-V and ARM SOC chips, we can always get them fabricated from TSMC and SAMSUNG fabs (why more cost effective).
20nm to 50nm chips are actually good, cost to performance efficiency. We can start making RISC microcontrollers and RF SOCs. These chips are required in every thing that requires to be connected to the internet to access AI models on cloud (even in a smart toaster 😂).
We should set up our chip program in stages, just like our nuclear energy program is done in three stages.
Bro if Nvidia gpu can handle ai task then why every company don't focus on gpu why they are running behind npu
Because NPU is dedicated for doing AI tasks, while GPUs are not efficient as they were made to do graphics rendering.

I think today only USA has complete tech to make chipsets .Even China is suffering from the tech ban from USA .They are using older tech to make processors. China also lost billions of dollars in starting chip manufacturing in their own country .i think getting the technology will be difficult for india .

Which company in India made it's own processor? And RPi is a SBC, it doesn't have it's own CPU on it's boards. The only pieces of silicon, designed by the Raspberry Pi team on their own is RP2040 mcu.
