How do I preview the graded patterns to make sure the grading was done correctly?

You can preview the grading by clicking on the 2D toggle icon, under Garment Display > Show Grading. The 2D toggle icon bar is the small vertical toolbar located at the upper left hand side of the 2D window display. The Garment display is the icon that looks like a t-shirt, hover over that and turn on "Show Grading" You can now preview the grading and review it to make sure it was done correctly.

@@DesigningWithEllie Good to know. Oh, how would I be able to preview the graded garment on a 3D avatar of the related size?

Thank you for a well explained tutorial. Can you help me in finding the colors that I need to assign to each size when grading I am not seeing the option for colors as you are

If you click on the small colored square to the right of the size name, it will bring up the color window :) I really like changing the colors especially if it's a big size range. Hope you get it to work for you ok

Hey thank you for the great tutorial! Ive got 2 question though: 1. How does the seam allowance for your base pattern apply to the all the graded patterns? 2. When I want to print the patterns for the plotter how do I see which size is which when using the print layout?

The seam will be graded along with the sew lines. Once the seam allowance has been applied it will automatically follow when the pattern is graded. For the second question, I would suggest using a color code that you can refer to for the sizes. Personally, I like to take my patterns into Illustrator and further edit to add more information.

I like using Adobe Illustrator to prep a pdf pattern and send it to office max to print my large format patterns. Just got a pattern printed and picked up yesterday!
