Gold Mafia | Al Jazeera documentary on alleged gold trading in Zimbabwe

  • Part one of a documentary by Al Jazeera called Gold Mafia that focuses on Zimbabwe has shocked many. The news network has suggested there are more revelations to come. The documentary shows the Zimbabwean government is using gold smugglers to evade western sanctions. The gold mafia is licenced to buy gold from small producers that would otherwise have been smuggled out of the country. The mafia then exports the gold to Dubai.
All the while money laundering is going on.The dirty money of criminals comes back to Zimbabwe as legitimate revenue from gold. Back in Dubai money from the gold sales is transferred into bank accounts and seems to be legitimate. There is also evidence showing that suggests the rhenium president is condoning his own officials facilitating laundering, land that people are charged to see the president.
GUESTS | Hopewell Chin'ono, Zimbabwe, investigative journalist. Thompson Chengeta, associate professor of international human rights law. UK Thembisa Fakude, Africa Asia Dialogues Director Joburg.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.
