And he can get rid if it quickly. NFL teams might shy away from MPJ because of injury history but if he gets drafted by a team with a strong Oline he will find serious success.

I don't see any pros who can throw this long and accurately. His coach says he's never seen anyone with his downfield vision and that he can throw dimes at 75 yards and even longer! I'm praying we get to see him in the national championships.

Who was it said that the perfectly executed offensive play cannot be defended. What with the crazy accuracy he has and the speed and sure hands of his receivers, some of these plays are as close to perfect as possible.
People like to say that a huge part of his success is his great receivers, and they certainly play a role. But he's really good and he'd be even better with true elite receivers on the vikings.
He's got a great arm and gets the ball exactly where it needs to be. An amazing deep ball. But damn, there were some really great catches by the receivers. Not saying it's all them instead of Penix. Just that the combo of a great QB and great receivers is so much fun to watch. He can drop the ball places that he wouldn't want to if the receiver was mediocre. The line seems to be doing a great job, too. It'd be nice to see how well he does under more pressure. I haven't seen much of his ability to scramble because it wasn't necessary. He did a great job recovering from the bad snap and quickly making a great throw, though, so he seems really sharp. Dude should have a great career.

McCarthy is not ready for the pros. He's slow through his progressions, bad at managing his arm strength, and can't throw receivers open, unlike Penix. Watch his highlights. All of them are either wide-open throws or the receiver makes the play. Not to mention he has not looked good against ranked teams except for Ohio State last year.

He looks great, but he has forever to throw and his release looks long, but he looks good.
TBH as a Washington fan I don't think that penix is the best in college football nore do I even think he is super amazing. I mean he went less than 50% in that Oregon game and a lot of the completions he did make were some amazing catches by his receivers. I mean McCarthy and Bo Nix IMO are the two best by far. I mean Nix always makes the best decisions and McCarthy is just an insane talent
McCarthy is not ready for the pros. He's slow through his progressions, bad at managing his arm strength, and can't throw receivers open, unlike Penix. Watch his highlights. All of them are either wide-open throws or the receiver makes the play. Not to mention he has not looked good against ranked teams except for Ohio State last year.
@@jontaryn4816 McCarthy wasn't great last year but if you watch the games this year you will see that all of your things you said about him just don't apply. I mean he's really good at all of those things, especially his progressions

Nothing against the kid, but there’s no way the giants should draft him. We haven’t had oline play like this kid has had. We have traffic cones. He’s already torn his knee up twice, he should go and play somewhere that can actually provide him the time to throw he needs as a drop back passer.

Penix will have no clean Pocket in the NFL. Due to his injury history he is a risk for any NFL team to Draft. The receivers on Washington are better NFL prospects.
