      I’ve got season tickets Odunze, Polk, McMillan, are all great receivers who win one on ones against CBs, but Penix throws a very accurate ball that lands exactly where it needs to. The receivers can depend on the ball location.

    He's got a great arm and gets the ball exactly where it needs to be. An amazing deep ball. But damn, there were some really great catches by the receivers. Not saying it's all them instead of Penix. Just that the combo of a great QB and great receivers is so much fun to watch. He can drop the ball places that he wouldn't want to if the receiver was mediocre. The line seems to be doing a great job, too. It'd be nice to see how well he does under more pressure. I haven't seen much of his ability to scramble because it wasn't necessary. He did a great job recovering from the bad snap and quickly making a great throw, though, so he seems really sharp. Dude should have a great career.

    He's got the arm, he's got the accuracy and he's not looking to run all the time but he can run. BUT! That offensive line is too good to see what he's going to do at the next level. That's not a knock on him at all. He'll get drafted to a bad NFL team and wont get the protection he's had in college. We need to see what he can do under constant pressure and how he reacts when he's been knocked around for the first two quarters. I'm guessing he's going to one of five teams. Raiders, Bucs, Pats, Giants or Jets. Possibly the Commanders but Howell doesn't look bad. With another year or two if Howell cuts back on the INTs and Washington get's some real WRs he's a franchise QB.

    Great video. Too bad the "Heisman" can only be given to a single person. I feel that Penix , Polk , Odunze , Williams and McMillan as a ( Group ) - because Everyone depends on each other. If it wasn't Penix's great ability to play the quarterback position as well as possible l. But for Penix to achieve his greatness , he needs other's to allow him to do it. So maybe it's time for a new award for a Group of players that achieve great play together.

      @@jontaryn4816 You should probably do some film study before running your mouth. McCarthy rarely hits a wide open first read. When he does, he nails it. • @jontaryn4816
      @jontaryn4816 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jakabokbotch99 you didn’t have to be a condescending prick about it. I watch film study. McCarthy is a good talent, but unlike the great QBs, he is not able to elevate the players around him. Penix is able to throw receivers open. Manipulate DBs, and read defenses. His capability to understand the game is near Aaron Rodgers-levels. He looked incredible against the great Oregon defense and stands poised under any pressure.
      You seem to be greatly inflating the value of QBR. It’s an okay measurement for some players, but it places high value on running QBs and has no relation to playoff success or nfl success. Yeah, burrow had great QBR, but so did Mac Jones, Justin Fields, and Baker Mayfield. Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson all had worse QBRs than Penix the years they were drafted. Maybe instead of looking at ESPN stats and yelling “film study!” in a comment section you should just watch the goddamn game. Analytics don’t work in football, that’s why you have late round hits every single year

    His throwing is better than Williams' but doesn't quite have the all round athleticism of Williams. Could see him go to the Bears in place of Fields - can see him launching to DJ Moore, but he'd struggle at the Patriots as they have no good WRs right now.

    TBH as a Washington fan I don't think that penix is the best in college football nore do I even think he is super amazing. I mean he went less than 50% in that Oregon game and a lot of the completions he did make were some amazing catches by his receivers. I mean McCarthy and Bo Nix IMO are the two best by far. I mean Nix always makes the best decisions and McCarthy is just an insane talent

    • @jontaryn4816
      @jontaryn4816 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      McCarthy is not ready for the pros. He's slow through his progressions, bad at managing his arm strength, and can't throw receivers open, unlike Penix. Watch his highlights. All of them are either wide-open throws or the receiver makes the play. Not to mention he has not looked good against ranked teams except for Ohio State last year.

    Nothing against the kid, but there’s no way the giants should draft him. We haven’t had oline play like this kid has had. We have traffic cones. He’s already torn his knee up twice, he should go and play somewhere that can actually provide him the time to throw he needs as a drop back passer.
