I never understood when someone commits a hideous murder why do taxpayers have to foot the bill around $70,000 a year. There should be No more plea deals. They weren't lenient to the people they killed. 35 year life sentences, are you kidding me??
I did 12 days in solitaire confinement and thought I would go crazy just during those days. Thank GOD I had a bond and was able to get out...they treated me like I was violent but the reason I was in solitaire was because I was going to go through opiate withdrawal so thought I should tell them so I can go to medicaland get some sort of help(it was my 1st time in jail so I didn't know they would not help me at all). instead of medical they put me in solitaire. no tv time no books no nothing except a tooth brush and paste and a paper with the rules. they did not open my door for 9 days. I was in my street clothes for 9 days without being searched, showered or phone call. finally I said something and they said they forgot about me but they fed me each day so how did u forget. I finally was able to call my mom and she came for me on 13th day
That's horrible. I was a nurse in a jail and we gave addicts and alcoholics kick packs. I don't know how much good they did, but at least it was an effort to make thinks a bit easier

My son was sent to Juvenile detention center at Wellsboro Pa , he spent the first week or more in isolation which really fucked with his head & he has PTSD from. Found out later he was wrongly accused by a classmate for a crime , so this girl ruined his life because she “had issues “ as she told me never apologizing to anyone or held accountable. Isolation should not be used on adolescents or with anyone who didn’t commit a violent crime. Top 10 x 10!
I can't imagine being locked in a cell for 23 hours a day. It whould drive me insane. Also a question for everyone else, do you think you can do it for that long ?
