Fast simple recovery test...Why the Tesoro Compadre is still the low end boss.

  • I thought I would show the respeted recovery speed of the Compadre. I didn't ask it to compete with the XP Deus or Nokta Fors Core.. I just put it through one test to show why it still punches above its weight

    Pound for pound Compadre takes the crown. I alway keep my knob set around the o in iron and dig it all. This is the only detector that has found me gold. Good vid, keep em coming.

      Grass Snake I find that the Tesoro's aren't cherry picking machines if you run them at or above foil, so you increase the chances you will find gold, because unless you are really always pushing the discrimination you will dig a lot more targets.

    great detector!! i have the 8 in and considering the 5.75, but just picked up the 5.75 for use with my deleon.... so maybe dont need it.
    but today is a great example. i left my nokta fors relic, deleon,ace 350 at home and went out with my compadre today. so e days you just want a si ple beep and dig machine. powerful, yet simple. no displays.just thumb the disc to get an idea where thetarget might be, but most importantly dig. the more ha dig the more ya find "keepers".
    still want the smaller coil compadre. seeems that the cost compared to the loss of my warranty is worth it. great videos, sir!!

    You are really selling me on the Compadre! I think it would be good for back-up and to loan my Dad.

    I know this post is old, but I just bought one brand new in the sealed Tesoro box. A guy near me had 2 in his garage. I wanted a higher model but you can't choose what comes up used for sale. I plan to try it on seeded club hunts where the coins and tokens are usually on the surface or no more than an inch deep. Have you or anyone here used the Compadre for competiion hunts? Simple and fast is what i want. It only needs to be light and quickly detect coins at an inch or on the surface...

    dang, i've been ignoring targets that only signal in one direction when i swing over them. it was in a trashy gravel parking lot. now i have to go back there. TTD, thanks for showing me something new.

      Effen Fish Yep those one way targets are always a pain. But if they are convenient to dig you have got to give them a run now and then, especially when the pure targets are sparse.

      Its amazing isn't it? Makes you realize like they say it is not possible to detect out any area of any reasonable size.

    Hello Texas! I'm from Brazil and I wanna to buy one Compadre, but i have one question: How inch of coil I buy with the Compadre? 5,75" or 8" Inch? Thanks!
    P.S: Sorry the english, but is all I have!

    • @Texastigerdigsdetects
      @Texastigerdigsdetects  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luan Pereira de Oliveira Your English is great.. I would go with the 8 inch coil unless you are going to always be digging in very trash areas... Even then I would tend to go for the 8 inch coil.. Its great because you will be able to pinpoint very accurately within the hole in the middle.

      Thanks TexasTigerDigs ! And how about the beach? Have you tryed this machine on salt water or wet sand? Thank you again!

    • @Texastigerdigsdetects
      @Texastigerdigsdetects  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am pretty land locked here 8 hours from the nearest beach so no I haven't tried it in wet sand, but I do know there are videos out there of people using them in the sand and even in the wet.. None of the Tesoro land VLF machines are reportedly good in Wet Sand, with maybe the exception of the Lobo which can also work in mineralized earth (where gold usually is)

    TexasTigerDigs Recently I saw this video: th-cam.com/video/sMwBiIEU9kA/w-d-xo.html. But is with a 5,75" Coil. The compadre will made the same effect in a little target even with a 8" Coil? Thanks again, and sorry for all the questions, but I had one Whites Coinmaster and it was not so good like the Compadre promess. Thanks!

    • @Texastigerdigsdetects
      @Texastigerdigsdetects  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luan Pereira de Oliveira It is just as accurate with the 8 inch and actually you have a visible center and if you hit your target correctly it will be write in the middle of the circular 8 inc coil.
