    Buenos Dias. My son sent this video to me yesterday and I just had to reach out and thank you for doing this video. Not for business, but because it was bittersweet for me to view. I know it is not a new video but I didn't know it existed until now. I don't know if you are aware, but my mother created all 3 venues that you highlighted as "romantic" restaurants. This just took me back a bit; sitting and watching and thinking about how mom was responsible for each of the places. Not news to me obviously, but every once in a while, something like this gives me pause to both acutely miss and admire my mother simultaneously...thank you.

      Thank you for the kind note. It was unfortunate that we did not overlap more with your mom as she definitely is part of Puerto Vallarta history. Every time we eat at the restaurants we know her touches are still there. ❤️ Thank you so much for commenting.

    Our favorite restaurants, and I've performed with the bands at two of them. Next time you go to Hacienda, try the black bean soup. It is wonderful!

    I too am a VERY low maintenance wife. But when we go on vacation, we always have one ‘fancy night’ out to get ‘dressed up’ and go have a dinner at a nice restaurant for a romantic night. La Capella will be the place we go in October!!! Wow!!! Thanks for sharing these places with us. You guys must have had a lot of fun making this video. Safe travels home!!

      Thanks! We had a rough bit of it the last few weeks with my mom passing (Stefan here), we are flying back down this Friday and will be eating at La Cappella again ( this video was from early March). Look forward to running into you this October... we’ll be there for part of the month!

    We love Casa Traditionale. Have you tried it? Also, where did you get the mask-scarf? My mom would love that 🥰

      Sorry I thought I had answered this long ago but must have missed it. Scarf is Koko Harley. She is on Instagram…small boutique woman owned biz. Casa Traditionale is also good…i do love them making my salsa and guacamole right at my table.

      Yes... it is funny chatting with some friends arriving for the first time and they ask if it was OK to eat out at local restaurants. 😆

    What time is the sunset? Time of your reservation? Thanks

    • @LivingSimplyinMexico
      @LivingSimplyinMexico  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sunset is currently 7:30 pm so I’d shoot for 7 pm or so reservations.

    • @bewellstaywellnetwork
      @bewellstaywellnetwork 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely check the sunrise/sunset guides. Also, the cool thing is that the sun really changes where it is in the sky when it sets so the church looks different each time!

      Thanks for the love! Agree...whether it is a taco on the street, ceviche on the beach, churros by the church, or a meal prepared by a chef, it is all amazing!

    We have been to all those restaurants and loved them all. Check out the Red Cabbage cafe owed by Lola Bravo. The food is fantastic, authentic Mexican, but you need reservations because it’s pretty small. Great drinks too. It’s north of the river.

    Ill be in PV next month for my birthday with 2 of my closes friends. and trying to find a great place for my bday dinner. So would La Cappella be the best option or do you have another suggestion?

    • @LivingSimplyinMexico
      @LivingSimplyinMexico  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on what you are interested in, so tough to say. It is a really good option though. I’ll be here (Stefan) celebrating a b day too and have the same dilemma!

      @@LivingSimplyinMexico Thank you so much for the recommendation and resource. I'll definitely reach out once i go back :) Your home is gorgeous, definitely interested in a place like that. Amazing view.. I stayed at Loft 268 for vacation and the view was amazing but your view is as good and i'm sure much cheaper if wanting to purchase. Loft 268 run for 250-300k and much smaller condos.

    PV has some of the best restaurants on the planet. I had one of the best small pizzas I have ever had in my life at La Dolce Vita you guys should try it out one day. My three favorite taco places are Las Gueras tacos, Panchos tacos and Marisma fish tacos all three are delicious. I’ve only ever tried the pizza at Florios and it was good but I will try the steaks next time I’m there.
