    A historic win with so many debuts 🎉 India hit 72 6s to 29 by Eng/Bazball in the series ... 4-1 with an innings win and a 400 run win looks apt for a superior side (despite 5 injuries.. could well be 0-5 if not for a close 20run loss) 🎉
    Also, the DJ at Dharmshala is a ⭐ ... St. Anger for Stokes, Westlife for Hartley was gold 😂
    Stokes was awful with the bat throughout as was Bairstow. Pope declined fast too. Good milestone for Jimmy but a quiet series. Bashir took wickets but very expensive runs wise too.
    In the last 2 tests, 'talismanic' Stokes had a wkt and 9 runs at 2.25! while young Sarfaraz had 200 runs at 50.00 .. 😁

Gill in reply tried to age shame Jimmy, you are too old for your ball to have some zip on a flat deck. Then, Jimmy got him out next over. I have thought about Bazzball and this is my take...
    Bazzball cricket is like the Stein of cricket... At first, it seems all cool and sexy, enticing you to dive into all that Bavarian/Bazzballian craziness. The beginning is promising, with crisp, nice beers overflowing with fizz. But as you delve deeper, it starts to lose its sparkle, getting lukewarm, fizzling out, and leaving you spending more without drinking as much as you paid for!
    It's like expecting a thrilling rollercoaster ride and ending up on the kiddie train at the local fair!

He takes wickets when the ball does something and someone else will be able to take that wicket as well. He doesn't dig up a wicket when there's nothing in offer for him anymore. Get new blood in and lean into the transition. This is just hanging onto the past.

      Agree but which one of Key or McCullum has got the balls to tell him that it’s time England moved on from him? I sense although it is time to blood some younger pace prospects with an Ashes tour in 20 months, no one wants to be labelled the bad guy by the media by pushing an England legend into retirement if he doesn’t want to go, even at nearly 42. But common sense should tell the selectors that they can’t go down to Australia with a crop of rookie seamers with only a few caps between them if they’re going to spend the next 18 months rotating a combination of mainly Anderson, Wood, Robinson and a recalled Woakes. I won’t include Stokes. He’s struggling to turn his arm over in March 2024 so god knows what his bowling ability will be like in November 2026.

      @@RsR6969 England should play Potts as much as possible. He is the future. As for Anderson, he is not stepping away by himself until he takes 801 wickets.

      @@agnimitraroy2777 I thought Potts looked a decent prospect when he came into the team in 2022. Not sure why he fell out of favour. They’ve tried others like Tongue, Fisher and Mahmood in the last couple of years but none of them nailed down a place. I think Atkinson may get a chance this summer. Oh god, if Jimmy is planning to go past Murali, he’ll still be in that team at 45.

    You know they are never going anywhere when you look at the 11 and STILL see Bairstow.
    Its all about who you know and who is your mate. We saw that in the Ashes. Talent is optional.

    • @RsR6969
      @RsR6969 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can’t be all that far before they move away from Bairstow but I think we’ll see him at least this summer, maybe regaining the gloves from Foakes, again.The next Ashes series is 20 months away. I’d be amazed if Bairstow and Wood both at 36 then are on that tour. I was going to include Anderson at 43 in 20 months but anything he does nowadays amazes me so I’m not going to predict that he won’t be on that plane. But with Broad gone, Woakes at 35 and Archer who can’t ever get fit, England need to start blooding some younger pace prospects. Common sense should tell the selectors that they can’t go down under with 3 complete rookie seamers with only a few caps between them.

    Root came to India as a batsman, became a bowler and just before England was to go back, converted himself back into a batsman.
    As for England, they decided to bazball (train) in the two unused days of the 5th test match. Insomniac sources reported that the bazballing activities started as early as 4AM.

  • @bravewarrior1218
    @bravewarrior1218 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    England has been delusional and bordering on arrogance since day 1 of the series
    Agnew - "Bazball is here and India is scared"
    Boycott - "Rohit Sharma is nearly 34 and past his best"
    Stokes - "England has made progress this series"
    BBC - "England had a reasonable day yesterday"
    Rohit and India had the last laugh. They have buried Bazball forever. England should learn to play spin first.
    England team was buried and dusted once for all in the foothills of Himalayas,
    Dharamshala.

    England learned nothing. Crawley, Root, Foulkes and 2 young spinners had decent efforts. A few of these shouldn't be around in the summer, but with weak opposition ahead wouldn't bet on it!

    Ben stokes says: we are not pushovers like other teams who have toured india recently. England have lost this series 4-1 after playing india B and every single match on absolute roads. Australia finished with 2-1 loss in 4 test series against full strength indian side and 3 of 4 tests played on rank turners. Seems like england are pushovers.
