Had the privilege to be in the audience last night for this rare concert! What a thrilling voice and what a wonderful, personable woman she is. Her rapport with the audience was unique.
Too bad we couldn't hear what she said when she spoke into the microphone. Her unparalleled, un-mic'd singing voice carried, but not her amplified speaking.
@@ShowandTellknitting the microphone was fixed for the second half of the concert, and it was much easier hearing her from the Grand Tier. It's a shame we missed that first part.
Some in the comments know sooo much better than the judges in all the competitions she won, and the management of La Scala and Metropolitan opera houses, the two most famous in the world.
Tidenes vakreste jente og Årtusendets beste stemme ! Jeg liker ikke opera, men elsker stemmene til Lise Davidsen og Mario Lanza ! Crossover songs ! Jeg elsker hver millimeter av Lise Davidsen ! Hun er verdens nydeligste elskling !
Well, I guess you'll just have to get yourself to the theater the next time she's in town! Feb 1 at Carnegie with the Met Orchestra/Nézet-Séguin. Should be singing the Wesendonck Lieder.
Rather than posting vulgar smileys why don't you post some videos of some of your students? I remember hearing a number of them back when I was living in NYC and they were fantastic.

❤❤ waouhhhh just enormous🎉🎉
Whaouuuuuu🤩 tout est beau!!! A entendre et voir Lise Davidsen parfaitement à l'aise, on croirait que cet air est facile à chanter👋👋👋
Love her. What a talent.
It was astounding!
Thank you!
A magnificent voice. I saw her a couple of years ago in Don Carlo at Covent Garden. Sublime!
Such a powerful voice ❤
First thought, when she hit the first note: "Dear, God!"

She is very loud and that's enough nowadays. Technique and phrasing are disappointing. But that's not her fault.
👏👏👏👏👏
She needs to sing more Wagner. She has the power and what a voice

Haliday was one of the few that put in a good shift.
Where was this?
Glorious! but still it's not the same thing as sitting in the theater: it sounds a bit dry and lacking the enveloping warmth

That's exactly how she sounds live. Somehow shrill and too loud, not enough dynamics, no good treatment of the lyrics and the notes resonate too late.

Her voice is better than her singing
