1dan is awesome even if qualified by "on Fox". I was just a hair from it myself last year so hope to also enjoy this achievement this year and I am probably older. I think it is hilarious your two main servers are Panda and Fox - very not alike
Actually, I think when you first start doing tsumego as a ddk player, it's better to just do a lot without actually reading them properly. Just to see all the different kinds of ideas and solutions that are reoccuring all the times. Afterwards you should switch to the "proper" way without looking up answers or try out by clicking/laying out the stones
I am about 1 Dan EGF but I play at about 5 Dan on Fox. I like Fox 😂 The difference between EGF and Fox doesn't mean much as I haven't really played in tournaments in a while but I also feel that for an experienced player who enjoys playing fast, Fox offers an advantage. Thank you for the nice reviews. Much appreciated. I feel like I have improved significantly after I started to watch online reviews.
Congrats on Fox 1d! I've never seen anyone who was better than sleep at tsumego relative to their rank. I'm about 5 stones stronger than him, but he was doing tsumego at the same level as me.
@@oriandon22 I mean, every dan player I know has learned to play this game as a child or a young adult (like 15-19 at the latest) and his student doesn't look 19 :)
1:40 i also played hundreds of games with katrain. Try to lose less and less points in the first 50 moves. then set up positions with it like to 150 moves where i am ahead with 80 points and try to not lose it all and so on. It can help.
"The thought just came into my mind". My guy was possessed by a Go spirit.
The Divine Move was the film that got me into Go as well. I never heard of this game until that movie and it got me hooked for life.

It's great to see even the old(er) people can do so much improvement in a relatively reasonable amount of time :)!
