likeee i’m getting tired of enha having no bridges. i wanted something siren-like and just majestic. i literally pictured jungwon and heeseung having a high note together into the final chorus. but we were starved. per usual 💀
the lack of a bridge in future perfect and bite me is like a lore thing
future perfect and bite me don’t have a bridge because they’re the title tracks with no hyphen in them. a literal “bridge” connects two different places, the hyphen connects two different words on their title tracks, it also connects enhypen and engenes. lack of bridge/hyphen = lack of connection
I got this information from a article that says:
“2022's 'Blessed-Cursed' was their last single to feature a hyphen, and the first to not feature a bridge. Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)' and 'Bite Me' continue this legacy, as if the lack of the hyphen translates into a sonic absence and disconnect, too. "Come to me, make it right / Please connect me again," they beg in the latter.”

i love bite me so much but it was a grower for sure. i couldn’t pinpoint why but it felt kind of incomplete and short. you’re so right about the song lacking a bridge though! but overall i love this comeback and i can’t wait to buy my albums!!

hard agree with everything you said about bite me! like the pre-chorus threw me off so much i literally re-edited it for myself just to know if it’d sound better after the chorus 😅 and no bridge again like… imagine how tired we are 😒 the potential of this song was just SO much greater then what we got. as for b-sides… why tf do they keep turning their best b-sides into intros/outros? like bruh the second half of fate makes me want to ascend why is it not a full songggg???!? 😩

I TOTALLY agree about the pre-chorus and am so glad to hear someone else say this. I feel like the pre-chorus should have been half as long, bc the momentum after "I know you'll save me" gets totally killed by the pre-chorus. It's the same length as the chorus each time and it's just...not the move!! And I feel so strongly about this because I feel like the song is good and the chorus is really catchy and I love the vocals in the layering. But it had the potential to be great and it's just not jumping from good to great because of the way that the pre-chorus sits and the lack of a bridge as you said!
exactly on the momentum part!! it builds up so nicely to the chorus but then it beat drops to the prechorus and im like oh... i wish they at least did that for the 2nd chorus 😭 but yea besides that i looove their vocals for the rest of the song !!

No I agree, it's sooo frustrating that they stopped giving Enhypen bridges for their title tracks - it just makes the songs feel incomplete and way too short.
I still absolutely love Bite Me but it's such a missed opportunity to not add a mysterious, haunting sounding bridge there then one last "it's me and you in this world" or a completely different ending like Drunk-Dazed had.. idk. I wish we could ask the producers why tf they do that because it doesn't enhance or improve the songs in any way and the majority of fans I've heard agree that it's annoying because we all want a damn bridge! When it comes to songs being under 3mins now, I've seen people before say it's so they are easier to stream or something but I'm sorry, it's not that much harder to stream a song that's 3:00 rather than 2:37... Plus the quality of the music shouldn't have to suffer for something so trivial IF that's even the case here.

i actually saw a tweet that blessed-cursed is their last title track with a hyphen and also the first title track to not feature a bridge. it translates to disconnection that’s why the lyrics says “come to me, make it right, please connect me again”

I can really relate to your comments on Bite me. it’s really really good but the “come here and get some” could have been just one part of the song and not repeated as a pre chorus and the bridge😩I’ve been waiting for a bridge because this song is so good and they could further top it a notch if they only put in a bridge with of harmonization and high notes

even though im not a fan, i do listen to their songs when they come out and i totally agree with you about the prechorus and lack of bridge. i usually like their title tracks and i did kinda enjoy this because the vocals in the chorus are very good but i feel like i would like it more if it had a better structure and if the prechorus hadn't thrown me off.

Thank you for noticing the hidden part ,where the poster, photcards etc.. are, I bought 3 of the 4 versions and I didn’t notice that part, it’s actually 6:28am here, so I literally when and got the CDs and found every that was included.

i feel like if you look into the lirycs and the meaning and storyline of the title tracks you will find out why they got rid of the bridges along with the ''-'' hyphen and there are some theories on the upcoming title, but I do agree the sogs are so short and they do need a bridge, sadly belift sucks ass and they cant manage this group and it getting in the way of their success

Is it just me, or at least production-wise, does anybody feel like less effort has been put into enhypen lately vs their debut era? Like when I compare enhypen to other hybe label bands and what they’ve been putting out, like TXT, NWJNS and even LE SSERAFIM I just feel like there’s less in the actual albums and they’re comebacks have been less frequent
