Taa also known as ǃXóõ is a Tuu language notable for its large number of phonemes, perhaps the largest in the world. It is also notable for having perhaps the heaviest functional load of click consonants, with one count finding that 82% of basic vocabulary items started with a click.

Can we just talk about how perfect her clicks were? It always amazes me how she's able to have such good pronunciation when certain parts of the videos don't have a audio to go with it. I really commend that.

Imagine a language that has clicks like Taa, strange sounds like Arabic, nasal vowels like in French or Portuguese, tones like Chinese and Vietnamese, a complex grammar such as Latin, Ancient Greek, Hungarian and the Slavic languages, a Japanese-like writing system and a spelling like French, Greek and Tibetan.

The phonetic complexity of this language is truly mind-blowing...most consonants sound almost indistinguishable to me. I guess it would be pretty easy for them to imitate other languages thanks to their phonetic inventory
