Looks like Kabru knows how to handle a fishy situation. 12:00 ah, the debate begins. Team Union Man Chilchuck vs Team Scab Mickbell. Edit: Tade is a Japanese/Eastern Ogre.
Kabru’s party continues to acts as an inversion to Laois and co, particularly Laois and Kabru themselves. Laois is a monster enthusiast so his party handles monsters better but Kabru knows people well so his party are much more perceptive when it comes to people
so when it comes to anime production at least when it comes to shows, there are these things called "cours" which is believed to be derived from the french word for lecture or course, so it's like a "course" of anime episodes. A cour is basically a production block of anime episodes of about 10-14 episodes intended for an approximately 3 month long weekly broadcast. Some anime will just be one cour of 10-14 episodes and some may be 2 cours of 20-28 episodes. When it comes to terms like "season" that's a more flexible umbrella term that can kinda apply to any number of cours of anime, and it's basically up to the studio how they want to classify seasons. Usually a "season" is whatever batch of episodes is aired all together and a season can be either 1 cour or 2 cours, airing as either a shorter run of 3 months or a longer 6 month run of episodes. There is also a thing called "split cour" seasons where it will be a season composed of multiple cours but there's a break between them but even if there's several weeks or months between the cours it's still categorized as 1 season, this is pretty common for shows with high production values where they want more time rather than having all 20-28 episodes ready to go at once. It's also not always consistent from season to season, you may have a show that has season 1 be 1 cour then season 2 is 2 cours then maybe season 3 is a split cour and usually split cour seasons are marketed as like "season 3 part 1" and "season 3 part 2". One thing that's pretty consistent is each cour almost always gets its own opening and usually ending as well with a brand new song and new animated visuals, so like here you're watching season 1 but this is the first episode of the second cour of season 1, and this wasn't a split cour season so on the 13th week of this show airing we had the previous opening and then the next week this opening aired for the first time. The decision to change the opening is entirely creative and they don't have to, the 2011 version of the anime hunterxhunter is a noteworthy instance of the song staying the same through the whole show but they change the visuals based on the arc of the story. They often can't really adapt according to the source material like each cour or season corresponding to a certain volume of the source material just because the pacing and release of manga and anime is so different but I'd say they generally try to pace it out in such a way to have somewhat of a stopping point anytime you hit a big break either between seasons or between cours in a split cour season, though sometimes even in 2 cour seasons each cour will feel like distinct "chapters" in the story but not always.
btw you can add the Delicious in Dungeon whole anime OST to playlists + the song Sleep Walking Orchestra by the Band, Bump of Chicken (aka the first intro), the second intro song is titled Unmei by Sumika
Anime is generally produced in blocks of 12 or 13 episodes, with two blocks making up a season. It's not uncommon for shows to end a major story arc in episode 12 and for episode 13 to begin a new arc with a new intro.
Yes exactly, Kabru is a beast at killing humanoids but monsters don’t fall inline with those usual behaviors and anatomy. Contrast that with Laois and Senshi who are particularly knowledgeable about monsters and how to kill them
Yup, Mickbell thinks it's a scheme to get a slice of everyone's pie, but Chilchuk worked to form the union so half-foots wouldn't keep getting screwed over by parties underpaying them or giving them inhumane tasks. And then Mickbell does kinda exactly that kind of thing to Kuro by basically only paying him in food.
Oooh was worried maybe you stopped the reactions because there's a new opening theme 😅😅😅 The new theme grew on me eventually, but Sleep Walking Orchestra is definitely the goat.
I can't say for sure as I don't own the manga yet but ep 1 to 13 is ruffly manga volume 1 to 4 and the end of season 1 seem to go to vol 7, out of 14 total volumes. The manga is no longer being made so the next season is the final season.
Kobolds being dog-like goes back to the earliest days of D&D. They changed it to draconic/reptilian, but Japanese entertainment stayed with the original design. Which threw me for a loop for a long time.

Laois is a monster enthusiast so his party handles monsters better but Kabru knows people well so his party are much more perceptive when it comes to people
Kabaru is Sherlock for humans. Laios is Sherlock for monsters. That’s why Kabaru sucks at dealing with monsters and keeps dying.
4:01 Well actually it comes from the first edition of Dungeon and Dragons in which both Kobolds and Orcs were depicted like this.
Yay DND's back! And I NEED that cable knit sweater! 😭

Chilchuk says unions.

Woah, thought we lost you there lad!
I'm with Griz. I prefer the first intro song. But I do love the new outro song. Such a fun show, really enjoying your reactions!
I really love the new outro! its give me this "nostalgic feeling"
i recongize ur despair in the change of the intro. the new song does catch on eventually but the first was great (better imo oop--)
Oooh was worried maybe you stopped the reactions because there's a new opening theme 😅😅😅

lmao imagine

Kabru is Lawful Neutral
i feel like laios is chaotic good
Shuro looks like hell 😅
I've watched several anime series, and most, if not all, will change their intro/outro every few episodes.
