Are you running the cars in an anti clockwise direction because the controller is wired for positive polarity, and the track is wired for negative polarity?
Yes. I was gifted the controller, which is positive, and it ran in the other direction. At first I thought this would be a problem, but it isn't. I bought a DS controller and use that for the other lane. Works great.
@@biggusmikus Thanks for being so prompt with your reply, Mikey. I'm assuming the DS is also a positive polarity controller. My SCP-1 has a electric jug type plug on it so I will have to buy a matching socket and fit the wires with plugs to be able to use it on the Carrera track as well as using it on the wooden club track that I race on. Do you have to swap the white and red plugs around on the power base, or do they remain the same?
@@markphillips5368 I swap the polarity of the power plug. That way all cars are running anti-clockwise. It doesn't take anything special other than flipping the plug around on the power base. Otherwise everything else is wired normally. Nice thing is I can take my SCP1 to a commercial track, plug it in and it'll work just fine.

Nice cars and track. Do you have more grip on the painted track?
Thanks. It gives a little bit better grip, but it's just enough so it still feels like you could throw the back out with too much power.
Is this with carrera digital? How did you reprogram the slot.it cars?
No, this is Carrera Evolution [analog]. Slot.it cars can be programmed for Carrera digital using a chip, tho.
