nothing to shatter fashion paradigms, but how beautiful is to see clothes that keep impeccable taste and proportions.... and the shoes....heels as thin as hair... stunning
Designer Anna Molinari has talent! This was a very traditional very pretty fashion show no special effects, no nonsense. As far as the fashions, these were soft basic colors of white and black, with Asian motifs of kimonos and boudoir nighties, some lovely off the shoulder tops, some late 90s stuff, safe, conservative, classy but very feminine and elegant. I purchased one of the dresses the little white one and the Asian kimono -ish thing with the long sleeves. Absolutely gorgeous.
I write my comment here because this Blumarine fashion show by Anna Molinari (whose beautiful fashion designs have always inspired and captivated me) is one of the exceptions to the current "vogue" of presentations. It seems our beautiful and inspiring fashion shows have lost their glamour, the individuality of each lovely fashion model, the magical excitement & electricity of the collections: nearly all of them have the same look, the same movement, the same monotone. Perhaps, i am just too nostalgic, too overly-devoted to such models as Shalom Harlow, Carla Bruni, & Nadja Auermann, the wondrous & gorgeous sashay of Isabella Rossellini & Naomi Campbell. Perhaps "i am just a dreamer" as John Lennon so poignantly sang it. I miss the rock and roll blended into the shows done by FF Channel, Fashion Channel Milano, Fashion By Look. Where did The Knack's "My Sharona" go? The Beatles once sang "Here Comes the Sun" but where did it go? Hidden behind too many skyscrapers, too many curtains? I miss the drama of Dolce & Gabbana at the lovely Renaissance home de Sao Shlumberger as the entrancing models wove their beautiful pattern throughout the rooms and, even, interacted with the audience. I miss the rapturous charm of Alberta Ferretti and Anna Sui and Miuccia Prada and Gucci when the fashion models were more free to elaborate, to envoke their enlacing femininity to awe and thrill the captive crowd. These days it seems fashion shows have forgotten the fashion model, her uniqueness, her beauty, her ability to inspire, to evoke charm, to call the poets to make immortal their enchantment. I apologize for my rambling nostalgia. I am probably wrong about my critique. I usually am. But i miss all the spotlights, the rows of photographers leaning over each other trying to get that 'perfect shot,' the scintillating glamour and the anticipation before the lgihts opened down upon the individually-created set designs, the joyous and glittering expressions of the fashion models as they sashayed and promenaded and spun upon the runways to give the Karl Lagerfelds and John Gallianos and Gianni Versaces and Alexander McQueens the determination and inspiration to imagine their next show.

The worse collection Molinari has ever done!
