Memories on my transistor radio on walks home from gradeschool back then 💙. I was always excited about this song and didn't know what it meant it just sounded really cool.
I met the singer here, Ian Anderson. He looked like he was from Medieval days. He was in a restaurant in Miami, with his girlfriend. I was with my brother, his girl and my boyfriend. The two it’s went over to get his autograph. He was very gracious. I be was so starstruck I didn’t want to go over to him. I met the actor:comedian, Jackie Gleason in the same restaurant.❤
Biz, can you react to “The Teacher” or “with you there to help me” off of their 3rd album Benefit. I think you would especially like the second one. I think Benefit is their best album.
The 1987 album "Crest of a Knave" is great. I believe it was a Grammy winner. I saw them on the tour for the album. Amazing even at a crappy venue (Chastain🤮). Songs to try from the album, "Farm on the Freeway" ( the radio single), "Budapest", and my favorite song, "The Waking Edge". Although I cut my teeth on Aqualung, I think this is right up there in my favorite JT albums. Good work Biz!
"War Child" was the first Jethro Tull album I bought, then I quickly went back and got "Aqualung" and their live album "Bursting Out". "Bungle In The Jungle" was the first song from this album that I heard on the radio. Quite a few other goodies on "War Child'.
Yeah man, after all we human are animals and the more we learn about animal life the more we see we´re not the only beings with emotions, need of communication and feelings. We just deal with them in our human way.A nice song! I love that instrumental break with the strings and all.The electric guitar lines here and there are also great
Hey Biz, here's another song by Jethro Tull and this is a live performance. This particular album has both songs Bungle In The Jungle" and This tune I'm suggesting "Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day." "Jethro Tull - Skating Away (Sight And Sound In Concert: Jethro Tull Live, 19th, of Feb 1977)" (by the channel: Jethro Tull) --The album "War Child" released in 1974 was Tull's seventh studio album. And while it could be mistaken as a concept album, like Pink Floyd. It isn't a concept album but rather it was initially intended to be a soundtrack for a film that never materialized. The album is a collection of varied themes and styles rather than having a single overarching story, it does have some conceptual elements though. Which can throw a novice into believing this could be a concept. album. (Just thought You'd find this fascinating 2)
Their album "A Passion Play" is a double album that is literally play set to music. It is my favorite and showcases their musical diversity. You might check it out in your own time instead of a reaction as it is so long. It's well worth your time
Their first album was much more bluesy, thanks to their early line-up featuring guitarist Mick Abrahams. He left and was replace by Martin Barre, leading to their trademark sound from the second album on. Another major change in sound came much later, with a more synth-based sound from thae album "A" onwards. For something from their early albums, try "A New Day Yesterday", "Living in the Past", or the beautiful "Reasons for Waiting".
You MUST listen/react to the 2nd and 3rd Tull albums, Stand Up and Benefit, from '69 and '70. True classics. Another song with lyrics along the same lines as Bungle is At the Zoo by Simon and Garfunkel.
With women, the courtship is never over. That is the #1 mistake men make when they get married. They think the work is done. Well, the work is never done for women, she does so much to have a job/career and all the work that's done at home. 2 full time jobs. Now throw kids into it. Men think they can slide. It's a fatal move. But, I'm old/old schooled, not sure what young women are about. ✌️. Thanks for reviewing Bungle in the Jungle!❤❤❤
A nice song, with interesting lyrics (as always from Ian) - a bit too commercial though; If you want to try different things (each album has its own sound) try 'No Lullaby' from the 'Heavy Horses' album (another great album) - this was more folk rock.
I bought this album because of this song. As good as it is, it turned out to be my least favorite song on the album. Ian Anderson has always been a music god to me but this time he stepped up to a new level with his writing and layering. It is still most impressive.
I love Tull. Too many good songs to hear. - Skating Away (on the Thin Ice of a New Day) - Living In The Past - Teacher - and many more.
Gotta do Skating Away on the Thin Ice of a New Day. Superior music by Tull.
I think you’d like “Living in the Past”.
A great groove behind all those awesome lyrics
This was one of Tull's more popular radio songs. Love Martin's licks the most in this song.

One of the coolest songs ever. One time I was listening to this, and when it started, my cats got scared. Lol. But everything Tull does is great!!
It’s a great song love it , thanks Biz
Great Lyrics! Nice reaction
One of the greatest bands ever, and their own genre. It's a shame some people just don't get it.
Also check out "Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day", the song that leads into "Bungle in the Jungle" on the album.

Love the Flute
Thanks as that is one of Ian's gems! Nice to see you and hope all is well.
☮️💙💙💙🔥🔥😎Ian is genius!
66, At 13 My first concert, Jethro Tull aqualung tour. This is one song I do not like to commercial for me
It's not the music that's the most important thing, it's the commentary on society
Ian's delivery is Phenominal... it is all about timing...
Jethro is my favorite member of the band.
Jethro Tull is the name of the band, Ian Anderson is the name of the vocalist, flutist, accoustic guitarist.
@@bishopswoodcrafts And songwriter, lest we forget.
What can I say Jethro Tull ! 🤣 A great bunch of artists! Great song! Great reaction ! Much love to you, your family and everyone on the channel!
A MUST SEE/HEAR early performance,, Jethro Tull - "Song For Jeffrey" - French TV 1969..TRUST ME on this one my music lovin' brother.
I write on your tombstone 😊
great drumming on this song
One of my favorite High School songs.
A Classic track off of the Heavy Horses album,, Jethro Tull "Acres Wild" 🔥❤️🔥
The title track is great, too!
@@jamesdignanmusic2765 Agreed.
Was also going to suggest that one, favorite!

The human (or inhumane) condition. great reaction. It's always about something with Ian

The Pied Piper (Ian Anderson) strikes again!
This was the last nail in the JT coffin for me.

My least favorite song from the entire “War Child” album. It was the radio hit from this one. “Skating Away…” is a top tier Tull tune. Don’t miss it.
I knew the song but not JTull performing.
