As far as being repetitive, I just prefer the larger environment and choosing what to do and where to go more than small maps and very linear gameplay. A lot of people get bent out of shape for differing opinions. Different strokes for different folks. Not personal attacks.

Yup. Noticed my second game today. First game is just usually daily challenges and if weekly line up . Been lucky for a week to work on tier 3 calling card challenges and now I am on hold until the new "broke" weapon comes along then we have 4 to 7 days after the first 15 "op weapon" videos.
Every time Doughnuts releases a video about a gun being OP, it gets nerfed the very next day..

All they had to do was change contracts I mean come on it can’t be that hard for that company to throw some new contracts in freshen game up. This game could be so good with some love and attention.

I've been playing a lot more bo2 and bo3 zombies lately, and holy crap what a breath of fresh air. I almost never even feel like playing MWZ anymore other than to keep up on unlocking aftermarket parts and new weapons.
Might do the same and download BO2 and BO3.....
Its crazy that this comment is an hour old and about 2 hours ago my brother said the exact same thing you just saod when i asked him if he wanted to play MWZ. 😂 so id say quite a few people are feeling that same way.
I just play Zombies to level up guns and camos in a very chill way. And I like interacting with other players, helping each other.
Honestly i like having both Round based & open world zombies. I just feel like i can play at my own pace in open world & there's more to do.
I like MWZ, but T3 feels bugged for me when I'm soloing. T3 Zombies don't drop any ammo or armor for me, unless I'm in a party. It's very frustrating when a horde is on your and you run out of ammo and you have to run to the T2 and the first zombie I kill drops ammo and armor.

I had a game were I had tier 3 all to myself but the loot I got was so bad and my tier 3 loot has been crap
I got a 2 plate vest as a reward in their 3. That’s just stupid. If I already have a 3 plate with gold plates, why would they give me a 2 plate? Does anyone go to tier 3 with a single plate vest?????? Nonsensical
I agree I had the same there was only a few of us in tier 3 and kept getting blue tools and ammo mods

To argue with what you said about round based, MW3Z is like all zombie modes of a game into 1 mode. It has all the wonder weapons jammed into a single mode, as well as the easter eggs and bosses, you just choose the route that you want to go, like an rpg. As a mode, it is amazing, the game just needs more modes.
I have played every single cod zombies out and my only nitpick with round based modes is the endless part of some of them, I hate that if you get to say round 200, your whole game became useless because no matter what weapon you use, zombies get to a point of invincibility, so you have to throw all your work away by dying, bittersweet victory?
My fav one was cold war because of the implementation of being able to extract. Gives a sense of completion.

Incendiary rounds are over. Just got done playing. It was fun while it lasted.
What I think would be interesting would be if there was ONE contract that looks like a normal contract, and can appear in any tier, but if you pick it up it auto spawns a worm. Not as hard as red worm, but a worm. And the whole lobby is notified that it spawned. But killing it spawns a portal that takes you to secret dark aether that has a boss harder than redworm. And unlike the normal redworm, only the team that kills this other worm gets the rift.

Honestly I see the merits of both round based and MWZ personally MWZ got me back into playing zombies after long time and made me go back and look at the old story from last one. That being said MWZ type set up does need work but I wouldn't personally mind seeing both come back and maybe shuffle things around little. It is sad see so many people fight over something we all equally enjoy hopefully black ops 6 finds middle ground for everyone :c

Round Based and Open World have their pros and cons. Pros on the round based because due to imo how long that mode been out since the good days and open world has been added to the zombies community ever since Cold War(? I'm not sure so feel free to back me up). Of all the things added to MW3 more are being added to WZ and some are basically what has been used in MW2 (2022) like from DMZ and Co-op. I honestly wish there is a good and final update where the game in zombies never crashes or have an "Invite Only" lobby but instead of having the whole WZ map just parts of the map and you can still travel whatever Tiers you're comfortable with. Add contracts or have some kind of multiplier when doing contracts or a weird task. Maybe even have other WZ maps but adjust the number of players when entering the lobby.
It definitely worked for the Lockwood 300....its called 12 gauge dragons breath but in the description it says Incendiary damage soooo 💥🔥💨 it was pretty strong

Doughnut this isn't to pick on you. People you do a cargo move the vehicle off roads and delivery zone. It's a huge problem in tier 2 and 1. I rarely see a cargo contract in tier3 returning. I normally see 1 per game. Tier 2 returns contracts faster than tier 1 and 3.
Are you saying that we need to move the cargo car away from the zone and that'll cause the contract to spawn faster?
I’ve gotten like 7 cargos in one game. In T3. And all the bounties and outlasts I could want when I was all by myself. Was a 21 contract game.
Move the LTV after you make your delivery. Folks keep leaving the truck rite there and it blocks others from making their delivery or even driving by depending on where you're going.
@Doughnuts no I mean don't block the zone when others are playing in the same game. If I were playing in a lobby by myself and I left a cargo ltv in the end zone of that contract and I do another and that old vehicle that hasn't despawned after the last contract blocks me and I get out to move it so I can complete this contract and I get 2 slap downed in tier 3 it's my fault and not a self centered rando who wasn't being respectful of others. Not that I am saying you did or did not do that. But that and the scorcher bros is annoying and shows poor upbringing where respect,curtesy and inclusion of others is lacking. Much worse than the dmz exfil campers. Clear the vehicle completely out. For that t3 I usually dump the vehicle over the bridge in tier 2 in the field or in the water.
@Drtguitar95 lucky I usually only see the cargo at the beginning and usually not again. If there's no "op" weapon or attachment if I can't get the first do to scorcher bros I look about every 5 minutes or so if I need the essence boost but I don't go tier3 much as unless I have a very good day and I don't do contracts other than delivery in tier 3. Until this past weekend and now the nerfologist did it again I won't be going there much.
The scorcher looks cool with the red electricity and no pack a punch camo

They need to fix the issues of the game before adding more to it. I hate to say it but id rather wait another year or two and play a game that works the way it's meant to be. Crashing all the time and containment bugs are too annoying. This is my favorite zombies mode and i stopped using my operator, who's at 942, just so i don't get mad when i hit 1k and crash

Build it for bullet velocity and dmg range, w/ recoil control. It performs better that way.

Something as simple as putting the contracts in different locations could make it less repetitive like why are the outlast and weapons contract in the same building
They could add new open world maps with each one having new missions to zombies and the map is chosen at random so u don't know what map or missions u will get
Playing with controller makes that SMG pretty damn good... Spamming ADS with deadshot shreds everything...

If you dont do the Easter egg in round based no real point in playing also the game give you no hints on how to do it so you are forced to watch a guide

Already been stated that incendiary is nerfed. Tier 3 still crowded though. I don’t know what’s meta right now or if I just got used to the OP rounds. But all the guns I’ve tried just feel like pea shooters. Pack 3 legendary with ammo mod and I run through nearly my entire reserve of ammo on bounty contracts. Especially megas.
Red worm with 4 teams (roughly 16 people) and it took an unusually long amount of time to defeat. I think they nerfed the weapons a little too far unbreaking those rounds. 🤔
Yes we do have all schematics and yes technically there is no reason for us to play repetitive game play anymore same contracts same worm fight etc, but the reason we play even going into DA repeating everything is to get things like plates blades mag of holding, when we have used them in our schematics the game before and they are on cooldown even though we can cool them down through essence it still takes atleast 6 games of play to get them even close to being ready. so in terms of repetitive game play going through urzikstan to go to DA to get equipment we can use for the next game I haven't used anything in my stash for ages due to getting a triangle some games that will give me pac 3 and a tool then onto DA for plates etc then use that for the next game rinse and repeat 😂 it's a vicious cycle and I too like round based and still sometimes think it gets boring or repetitive just like mwz does but we still play because it can be fun and challenging unless you get something broken like the incendiary ammo or crash out due to how unstable mwz is we still play because deep down we are die hard cod players 😂😂
The one thing that’s awesome about the new SMG, is you can build it to be a complete mobility monster, you almost run as fast as a V-R11 I think. I know for a fact you run faster than holding a juggernaut or mortar strike kill streak
@donut your quest for hundred contracts - it is gonna be incomparable to the other tiers because they changed the loot and rewards between seasons. (in S2 the rewards were different than in S1 and than in S3) You won't be able to compare, say, whether the rewards from T2 are more worth the effort than T3. You'd be comparing different seasons.
i had a game like that last week where no one came into tier 3 at all so i did all three triangles and left
The new smg a good gun the black cell blueprint its a lot better then 90% the smg was fun doing the camo grind for it but round base is way better hands down but I like the change of paste just the time limit annoying but its good to bring new players to zombies as they ain't got worry about it getting to hard unlike round base be always getting harder and they struggle a lot but round base is my child hood love it so much
It's hard to compare one iteration of mwz contract-based title (it's one of its kind for now, with only one map to play on) to multiple versions of round based game titles with their own multiple maps.
Repetitive game play isn't the issue, I think. After all, in multiplayer, people keep playing and coming back for the same experience over and over again, too.
Also, any game with level progression is repetitive and repeating the levels to reach the next one is the point. Nonetheless, after reaching the final level, it loses its luster.
In round based, the boring part is the beginning before you get points to buy upgrades, then, after you peak with your level progression and achievements, it's not so much fun anymore.
In MWZ, the boredom sets in after you complete all the missions and obtain all the schematics.
In round based, actavision tries to entice you to keep on playing by adding new maps with new progression and new Easter eggs.
In MWZ, they haven't done it so far - no new map. Instead, they did it only with new schematics and, to certain extent, with the new DAs (on the same map, unfortunately) .
A new map in mwz would go a long way and would put it on par with round based in terms of new engagement.
In an old zombies title, say Cold War, you can return to the game and see how far you can get again after taking a break from the game. In mwz, it is harder to play again after taking a break (after you got all schematics) because the satisfaction of completing contracts or completing DA isn't there again so much as before.
In round based, each round is its own mini game and your trying to reach the next round, trying to play another mini game.
In mwz, after obtaining all schematics, you can only try to progress to DA or red worm.
In conclusion, the comparison needs to be apples to apples, not apples to oranges.
Also, as someone already mentioned it here, different strokes for different folks.

The amount of people that ran to tier 3 and went down in my game was hilarious, think they was relying on the triangles. Back to my mtz or m13c builds now
They should make a easier mode of mw3 zombies with all three zones but the loot from contracts and more are less like maybe 25% of what their current chance is
You said there’s no more reason to play MWZ. But to correct that statement there actually is. I’ve ran into a ton of player who are new to the whole zombies culture. I believe we should teach them how to unblock aether rifts and how to get schematics. Especially the warzone players are completely out of touch with zombies and the community that keeps the Zombies mode alive. Our community is huge but we need to be heard by the devs to continue to make zombies great.

I personally like the new SMG. I went in with a group of 6 in the S3 Dark Aether and it got me through.
Gonna be real for a moment. They don't care about Zombies and they will not change with BO6. They care primarily about Warzone and to a lesser extent multiplayer.
It is what it is though. Hopefully a stand alone Zombies game will be on the horizon soon.
Perhaps maybe in S6, who knows. One can dream. They may add new stuff(bosses, zombies whatever). S6 is basically “fuck it go all out” season

My last few games where crowded but zombies weren't spawning on exfils until my last game i solo and nobody was in lobby and game ran fine but earlier t3 zombs were glitchy
I tried that smg with the new battle pass, reserves were abysmal…. So I never took it back in after I leveled it up…..

Right? During BO3 and BO4 is was "too complicated" and they needed to make it simpler with less things to do lol...

I have been having about 1 in every 5 games be rewarding in tier 3 and the other 4 being almost useless. Been running with guys doing the season 1 DE and having good luck with loot but trash finding anything with the keys....

On the whole RB vs MWZ thing.
As someone who really likes MWZ i just gotta say as much as i like it i don't want it or any type of non-RB mode to ever be made anymore (at least not with Treyarch's involvement)
A mode like this needs proper support and clearly doesn't work in a yearly release schedule game like CoD.
DMZ suffered from this exact same issue, which is why i also don't want them to do that again. (also because it was pretty obvious it took resources away from Spec-Ops which is terrible in that game)
Modes like MWZ and DMZ need Seasonal updates and can't just get the plug pulled on them a few seasons in or after the game it got released in is done with it's post launch content.
CoD in general in recent years has had a Too Many Baskets To Fill issue.

may have noticed something in T3 streamers going in with scorcher T3 got full fast.
The gun get insane movement and ads and sprint to fire speed. I got my tac sprint to 8.6m/s

The incendiary rounds are nowhere near as powerful they have definitely had a power cut
I think that Extinction is better than MWZ, but that's aliens and not zombies.
I love the new smg, feels good & I run tier 3 easily with it. It’s a good weapon. I haven’t ran inc. rounds like everyone else because I didn’t have time over week to try but seems like it was fun. But we don’t need that, I’m running tier 3 like always and still easy. I like the more of a challenge to tackle hoards with movement and gunplay. That’s what makes it fun for me since game has become repetitive with no newness or contracts. But main point is this new smg rips with no issues. And something about the sound of the fire rate is bitch’n🤙🏻
I think the biggest problem with both round based and objective based, it seems to come down to content. I enjoy both types, but objective based feels more broad ranged for me. I feel like they just don't lean into the story line as much as they could.

i play for achievements and calling cards. then i go for skin unlocks. pretty close to getting caught up.
That said, I like onslaught from Cold War. Why not make a NEW GAME +, where instead of exfilling, we go to a T4, t5, and T6 map. Then T7, T8, T9 for NG++

You get lobbys like this when you either die or tombstone. The game thinks you're level your playing at is lower than someone who exfills and has a high containment level.

The Superi and KAR98 were solely tuned for Warzone and Multiplayer, both suck in Zombies.

The reserve ammo for this weapon is ass. Even with the larger clip its didnt even double. Plus if you're the only player in t3. All the zombies are gonna convert towards you and not spread out since nobody is around. So you get way more zombies coming at you.
I agree that WMZ is getting repetitive however , you do have more choice and freedom that round based zombies gives you , I for one will not be getting COD6 if it’s purely round based , love you’re content .

The biggest reason I prefer MWZ over round based is the community. You’re not going to get the community aspect in round based that you get in the mwz format. Everybody is helpful in the Mwz community.

The mtz was the better one to me. Bp50 and holder reloads are slower and until nerfed today you could run the 30 mag and pap3 only reload once for megas and disciples.
Holder with double barrel mod for max dmg...but it was nerfed

I like MWZ vs round based. I can enter in MWZ and do anything I want and it's easier to find people that play zombies in MWZ than round based that you normally do by yourself. CoD has neglected MWZ like they did DMZ and they never listen to the community. They just release bundles to make them money and ignore a lot of the people cheating in multiplayer and Warzone but patch things in MWZ that made it playable with the lack of new content. I'm definitely not buying any new CoD at launch and I will probably wait until they go on sale and when the game is actually a full game like 6 months later after updates. These game developers are releasing incomplete games with the promise that more content will come in future updates. I'll wait until it is complete and on sale.
We cant use this game in a fair comparison of repetitive gameplay. They didnt finish it and give it more time. If they had this zombies game would be perfect. Still better than buy having to buy areas in my opinion.
