David, you're like a chicken on a hot rock! Lol! You're never still! You do a great job on everything you do! God Bless you all! Maybe those armadillos want to learn how to play golf, 😆
We do not get many armadillos up here in Delaware, but that does not make this video any less informative or engaging. I will carry the knowledge you have given me about armadillos forever. I know a few different people named David, and you my friend, are my favorite.❤❤❤
Nasty, mean creatures who respect nothing. You just have to show them who are BOSS‼️ When they are relieved of their duties they will jump straight up in the air.(or at least the ones I have seen at our house.) The hard shell on them seems to makes them a little more imprentable for dogs and other animals to kill them seems like. Thank you for you persistence and dedication to always delivering us awesome content! The Man, The Myth, and The Legend #yawtyawt
Had one of them hanging around not long ago digging up around my peach tree. Man I loved that thing! Piles of sunflower seed hulls from my bird feeders there and that dude tilled them into the ground better that I ever could. I was watching it one night and was awestruck at how that booger could dig. You'd have a hard time finding a tool that could keep up with that critter and that ground is none too soft. It never got into anything else much and moved on I reckon. Wouldn't mind another coming by sometime and keep up the good work. Free labor! 🤣
Good evening brother 1st keep safe from the storm heading this way. 2nd Armadillos by morning Yawt Yawt done caught by night C'mon and enjoyed the video you doing a fine job man👍 and as always God bless ya Yawt Yawt 🙏 and enjoyed the podcast yesterday as always 👊
I recently saw your interview on the MS OUTDOORS show, gotta to tell you, I have a lot of respect for you in calling the host out for the “deer photoshop” comment. In the way you did it was very respectful but you certainly made your point. Many blessings to you!
Didn't know Armadillos were so plentiful. We're in Pennsylvania and aren't familiar with the species up here. People don't seem to talk about them locally.
Hi David I love your videos and so glad you made one with the armadillos I live in Illinois and down by the Lake of Egypt Marion area but I’ve never seen so many armadillo in my life in our region we never had armadillos I just wanna know how did they get this far to Illinois
The lady on fairway thirteen lady you famous at Old Waverly !😎Wilkes is a great guy! I wish I knew I could make money catching armadillos in the 80’s. Caught 100 in Simpson County one summer with a wood trap!👍
Oh wow they can do more damage than a board could wow unbelievable I only seen them on the side of the roads I never seen them in a yard here but now I know what to look for thank you so much much
Only 15-20% tend to carry the bacteria and even then it is a very weak bug that dies quickly away from the host critter. Just don't handle them much, wash your hands if you do, and don't eat them and you'll be good. And even if you handle and eat them everyday, most people in the USA are not able to even catch the disease (only 3-5 infections per year) and it is very easily treatable unlike in the past.
Here in Northwest Georgia, I have something digging under a stump in my back woods. Probably a diller. The dogs go crazy on something back of the fence.
Having just moved to Texas, I was ignorant about armadillos. After living outside town for several months, I was amazed by the destruction the little devils cause. I am going to have to hunt them, I suppose. I had one tunnel under my garage, curse it. I have encountered them out in the yard a few times late at night when taking the dogs out. They have dug a lot of holes in the yard and flower bed, and hogs are coming through from time to time. What kind of bait do you need, if any, to trap them? I am thinking of getting a Havahart trap and placing it around the place to catch them. Maybe I should just set up at night to shoot them. I certainly don’t want to catch a skunk in an expensive trap. Thanks for the video, David.
Just saw a Dead Armadillo on his Back on a Narrow Country Road next to a Double Railroad Mainline in Southern Illinois. You have to Wonder how Good of Eating.😬👍
Be advised that I have heard that they can carry the bacteria that causes leprosy. I wouldn’t touch one of those with a ten foot pole, even though only a small percentage of them are infected. Apparently they don’t catch the disease, but do act as carriers. Yikes. I saw a TH-cam video out of Florida that said only about 10% of them potentially are infected.
Taken 60 out of our little rural neighborhood. They are very destructive. Thanks for sharing and God Bless you and your family.
Great video Yawt Yawt. You are so down to earth and humble, awesome to see in this day and age. 😀😀😀
Great job David ! .. and absolutely another beautiful upload and share ! .. TQ ..
Great trapping David. Fill the traps. Watch out for black & white kitty cats. 😂😎💯

I was wondering about leprosy. Glad to see you mention it at the end of the video. I did not realize it, but it is treatable now.

Sorry but the subject is a little raw.
More chilled out today much better... God bless😊
Cause I’m wore out. From the big episode coming. 😂 I’ve world 3 18hr days. Plus editing. I’m hurting bad lol
I saw armadillo road kill on the side of the road yesterday morning going to work. By the time I came back thru, 2 buzzards had him picked clean.
David can you put the dimensions of the traps on we’ve got them in ky now
That was fun to watch.
Got Jesus and Milk, you're set!

Yep yep. For sure. Thank you
There just like little garden tillers 😮
They were called Hoover Hogs in the Great Depression.
Welp you can always send Harlow to school with some Armadillo sandwiches 😂😂
Those are not Armadillos.
Thats the Texas State bird my Brother!
😂
Good job
Thanks
Dirty little creatures, dang glad we don't have them, but we have groundhogs, and they do lots of damage!!! Great job yawt yawt!! 🐾

Good evening from Syracuse NY brother
Hello there! I’m late today 😂
@@DavidEllisYawtYawt no problem brother from another mother
Just south of Albany New York. Love this channel
We call em here in Alabama. Possum on a half shell.😂😂 That is when they are run over on side of the road.
nice catch buddy God bless
Have you ever tried whole fresh mushrooms as bait ?
Has the golf course ever thought about putting any grub control down? No grubs , no problem.
What do you do with them after they are caught? Release or despatch?
Thanks
What do you do with them after you catch them?
My daughter and grandbabies live in New Albany. It's about 30 minutes from me. I live alittle futher up in Northeast Mississippi.
Awesome

David those 2 dillos would make some great earrings if they would be still!!!😂
😂
Don't let all that meat go to waste.
That's Possum on the Half Shell !!! (think oyster on the half shell for you inland types)
They like the nice fertilize yards they don’t fool with my pasture grass yard too much
I walk around my pasture at night around 11pm or so with my 22lr rifle and a powerful flashlight. I shoot 3 or 4 a week here in Tennessee
Hearing you say Old Waverly… curious of you are a college football fan? Mississippi state by chance?
I went to school with Wilks by the way. His old man even paid me once to drive his Austin Martin uo to Memphis. As a 19 or 20 year old, that was fun.
Yep me and Wilkes are buddies. I’m a state fan. Or what’s left of me is 😂
YAWT YAWT THE MAN
Not the purdiest crecture there is? But any which way???
Save those Armadillo's for armadillo races, you could even sale sponsorship, put stickers on the shells like NASCAR sponsorers
You need to get yourself a dolly to carry them traps , they look heavy asf
David works at the Piggly Wiggly
My wife’s family owns it. But I will work there if need be.
How do you start off with a fresh box to catch armadillos
Put along walls or guide them. They just bounce around blindly
Dig up some crawlers or hit the bait shop and leave a container in there for them to sniff out.
Truth Freedom Health. Vote Jesus
Nice
Dave, were are the armadillos during the day?
In burrow holes or dug up in the thick bushes
Do u knock the heads on armadillos or take them somewhere else let them go
dillo fryed up is good
In mexico they make some real good armadillo boots
Soooo... armadillos are just turtle skunks?
Are you still working as a lineman?
Naw
@@DavidEllisYawtYawt Hog chasin is safer. 🤣
Cool
Charangos and Texas dillo stew.
Be careful of the 9 banded armadillo, they carry leprosy.
Good luck
