I think this was the first video i've watched from you. About 3-4 months passed. Didn't understand nothing about 6th intervals than! I understand now what it's all about! Thanks Christiaan!
Thanks Christiann! Fingerings for m6 chord. Version 1. Root is played by 2nd finger on the B string. Stay in position ("Dutch") Version 2: Switches position, 2 notes per string. Start on third on high E string ("French")
thanks for your lessons Chritiaan. I don't see how playing a minor 6 arpeggio in different positions can be qualified as a secret. I think a better description of this video is "2 ways to play the minor 6 arpeggio". There is no revelation here. Anyway, thanks for all you do !
@@ChristiaanvanHemert haha, awesome !! I really enjoyed your "more minor 6 secrets video", I leaned very potent info from it. Thank you and maximum respect brother !
Because I prefer playing that particular arpeggio in 'wide position'. In order to make that practical I have to start in closed with my 1st finger (index finger).
Just curious. The fingering you use seems kind of awkward. Is there a reason you don't start the Dutch fingering with your second finger on the e string and use your pinky? Great lesson by the way. This is very useful!
one last question, afraid that listening too much(dig into) the gypsy jazz ,gypsy guitar ,or gypsy music will make me gradually become a homeless vagrant? I think Im already
Some stylistic differences. Dutch style is more inside and lyrical, French style is more adventurous and flashy, but it's a spectrum of course with many "in-between-styles" possible!
Fabulous tuition learnt a lot watching this just improvising around the scale ta

Very interesting, starting the arpeggio on the 3rd instantly sounds more musical.
Thanks Christiann!

Christiaan,
Great video! Why do you start the Dutch arpeggio on the 2nd finger when it can all be played in one position without a shift?
Because I prefer playing that particular arpeggio in 'wide position'. In order to make that practical I have to start in closed with my 1st finger (index finger).
Thanks Christiaan. What video explains the wide position?
