Poker is a game of skill, not luck. Luck helps for sure though.

Poker is definitely also a game of luck. Luck can be so big of a factor, that you can play optimally for many sessions and still lose. After hundreds of sessions, when luck evens out more, skill determines profiting from poker

@@theejayzeeable the last two decades have proven that playing with skill should consistently have higher returns than the luck-oriented approach or with luck alone. Unlike quants, the various "optimal" plays have changed and shifted with the paradigm.
