This is a lesson on control and responsibility. 😂 For me to buy new gear, it has to outright beat what I have by a mile, which is why I haven't purchased anything in two years. I don't have as big of a collection as you and I have a bigger room, yet I feel I have too much. So I stopped the buying spree. It took a lot of effort, but contentment is something I learned along the way. Cheers Nemo
When the Fritz 7 with Be tweeter came up on USAudiomart like 2/3 of the new price and only a few months old I was sorely tempted. Just downsized from a large bookshelf and while the Fritz was about 1.6 inches shorter, it would have put me right back there size wise. If I were in a different space and not in downsizing mode where I could listen a bit louder, I may have. And, finding a small speaker that works well with a sub and without having to have a powerful amp has not been easy but there are a few. Regrets? More like timing. Perhaps down the road. I settled on Dali Opticon 1s MK1 on closeout and they work just fine driven by a Keces E40 on a Topping d70s with a small 8 in woofer sub. That is about as small both size wise and budget as it gets in this game.
And let's not forget that big shiny REL S510. I'm sure you wanted to keep that beauty. I wish I had bought a used Mark Levinson amp circa 1990-91. I still wish I had just pulled the trigger. Thanks Nemo.
that's actually not one I regret, I have the T7X pair which are a better fit for my smaller room. I had to do a lot to get my little room to accomodate the S510 just to review it, if my room had another couple feet in depth then it would have been on the list for sure!
Interesting that you pair the ZU DWX with the CHoco Emei. You bring this component up again in the amplifier section of your video. Makes me really consider the CHoco Sound for a place at the table.
Great sharing . As for mind :worst & bad experience owning .my most expensive terminator DAC , almost dead on arrival ,lost channel sound couldn't be fixed, just too heavy to ship back & very few/service center.2nd Harbeth Speaker ,dead on one bass driver .poor quality control, for the price! (Not in heavy use).³rd VTL power amp ,often tube burnt & even power button failed! Again due to poor quality part used !
I own a Pathos Classic One MK3 and love it. Is the Remix Inpol a significant upgrade in your opinion? There is one in the used market in my region for about 2k, and it screams my name!
Significant… hmmm, in my experience that can be personal. What could be considered a significant upgrade to some people is sometimes considered a nuance upgrade to other people it’s one of the interesting things about this hobby but to answer your question I felt it was a very noticeable upgrade and as long as you have the speakers and the rest of your system that can show off that upgrade. I think 2K is a incredible deal for such an amplifier.
Nemo, please help. I am just about to pull the trigger on the RSL 12S. When it comes to just music bass textures and detail would I be left wanting compared to REL HT/1205 or Rhythmic F12? Love your channel!!
hi bro, you're asking me a question about your taste & perspective, I can't really answer that. It's like asking how much detail from a speaker is enough detail, everyone is different. The 12S is a great sub, if you need serious bass reinforcement it's an absolute monster and one of the best sounding large subwoofers on the market, especially at its price.
That’s what she said.. my mind immediately went there before you said it. My biggest bummers of not buying are: Tekton double impact SE used for 1100. A guy was fire selling a beautiful orange pair as he was moving. I had the cash but simply couldn’t move them myself. Somebody else showed up with two burly guys and then took them home. My back would have screamed at me moving those 110 lb beasts into my basement by myself.
I’m just barley getting into wanting a better listening experience wether it be with movies or music.I’m just not sure how I should be setting up volume of speakers relative to tv. Example, should I have my tv volume at 70 to like 90% and adjust volume through speakers or have speakers volume at 70% to 90% and adjust volume through tv. What do you do?
I just set the amp to what gives me usable range when adjusting my TV volume, for my amp that happens to be set to 75% of max, for you it might be different. Just do what works for you.
I’ve thought about getting a new/nicer rack but not a larger one. The size i have is right for the room. Wider would cause issues with dual subwoofer reviews. I’d be very limited on placement.
@@NemoPropaganda ya. I emailed tel audio about purchasing one after seeing you video and he gave me a deal and told me it was the unit you had for your review. I figured it had good vibes so I bout it. 😂
Too easy to get to much stuff over the years. I'm not buying any more speakers till I sell some of what I have. Already sold most of my amps and kept just one. Did a lot of selling of stuff to buy the Buchardt A10 active speakers and limit clutter.

Kind of, my buddy came over to hear it and he loved the billie so much he decided to buy the review sample for his Kanta No1. He was using a $2k denon and the billie was a big upgrade for him. See pinned comment in billie review for choco comparison.
Hi friend,, 🍻🥰🤘 Did you keep the HECO Aurora 300,s,, 🤔 They would be interesting in a side by side test with the similair priced DALI Oberon,s, Wharfedale,s, etc, all driven by a WIIM Amp. A very competent sub 1000USD/EURO suggestion I guess,, 😎👍. Häve a excellent weekend NEMO,, 💖
I bought the Aurora 300 to make the review and still own them. It’s a benchmark warm speaker. Easily the best under $500 for that type of sound. I’ve only heard the Oberon 1 and it was too bright/sharp for my taste but had very rich bass.
Criticism without a solution is rarely helpful. Aurora 300 is a less than $500 speaker. Are you suggesting she use a Pathos instead? What non made in China amp can you suggest for affordable speaker customers?
Hey Nemo, how bout you send me one of your many subs you don’t use often?? 🎉 would love anything you don’t want with high level inputs!! 🎉 hehe btw. I’m currently trying to save up for the RSL 12S because of your review!! 🎉
There are four…four different amps that I cannot stop obsessing over. While absolutely nothing wrong with the one I already have! I’m pretty sure I’m simply at these four to justify buying two of them. Totally commend you on your restraint 🙏🏼
Not a bad idea in hindsight, considering some of them haven’t been turned on in over a year, but sadly too late as the DWX have already been shipped back and I already miss them.
Packaging takes up half the space of my house. (Every hifi TH-camr reality). Hope the TS34 will impress you enough to tempt you.
lolol, I remember you made a video one time showing the rest of the room, it was crazy!!! You had too much stuff!!

For me it’s the Philharmonic BMR stand mount. It’s huge

Yeah, I prefer smaller speaker too, in term of look and friendlier to deco in a room.

I have a lot of gear right now, maybe in the future.

Kinki Studio EXP7 pre amp. But their EXM1 is the integrated amp version if you want that and then EXM1+ adds subwoofer outputs and HT bypass.

If you move to a bigger house you should request the REL Reference No.32 for review. For shits and giggles 😁
As a rule I don't review subs over 100 lbs, it's just not worth it to me. The risk of injury goes up significantly.
