The backdrops of the Franklin & South Manchester layout are done in forced perspective thus you see the sides of some buildings. Now George does take liberties and change the perspective point liberally but does it to suit esthetics and it is an art form. The backdrops you are using will always have a strait on perspective but will look good in the end due to the quality of the backdrops. I liked the update and running session enough to subscribe and will check in on your channel from time to time. Nice video, Jersey Bill
i do like how they all stack out and give the look of multiple streets behind the scene. get ya to print some more off and give to Bernard at Springfield, Since I can't make it this year. I like it
I just finished an ITLA kit, which is an excellent product line. It took me three months to complete, and it came out as well as expected. I made a few mistakes, but I was overall happy with it. Their cost is a little high, but it's well worth it. I used aftermarket building ducts, exhaust vents, and rooftop AC units. Laser-cut wood, like piping, does not work well for vents, pipes, and other metallic objects. It just does not look right when compared to plastic aftermarket components. As for the backdrops, I think the company you are referring to is TrackSide Flats.
Three years ago you posted an interesting video on how you model asphalt. I'm commenting here in hopes you will respond about that process. Question... How do you glue the foam sheets to the pink foam surface of your layout? Thanks.
The backdrop building at the end, behind the ITLA kit, doesn't work. The sash windows are too out of scale for the scene. Could you reprint it in N-scale and double its width?
At 14:25 that step up looks better w/o that extra building backdrop in there. I also agree with @ajkleipass, that building on the left does look out of scale. Those windows are huge.
Really great changes.

Great channel just subscribed and hopefully pickup some tips for my own layout.

Another great update, love how the backdrop structures are looking, superb depth to scene. All the best. Brian @ The Angels

Why is the switchman on the point giving signals on the fireman's side?

I cannot believe that anyone thought it was a good idea to park that truck there and not stay with the truck.
