This song means so much to me, after getting through a one sided break up, in which I never gained any closure for. She moved on almost instantly and I was left in the mud. I wasn't cruel to her, I didn't everything I could and she still decided to leave me. As the song suggests, I've begun to realize that she wasn't good for me and that I'm better off with out her. Sometimes it doesn't seem that way but I know it to be true. She'll always be there in my heart, my first serious relationship, but I'll also remember what she did. And while I don't know if I can move on, I can at least push it aside and get better.
[Chorus] And our days go by And I never needed you And our days go by And I never needed you [Verse 1] And I worked so hard And I killed myself And you broke my bones And I sold my soul [Chorus] But now days go by And I never needed you But now days go by And I never needed you [Verse 2] And I could have been your mother And I could have been your sister Be your twin brother I just wanted to be [Chorus] And our days go by And I never needed you And our days go by And I never needed you [Bridge] We were just wasting time, we were just wasting time We were just wasting time, we were just wasting time We were just wasting time, we were just wasting time [Chorus] And our days go by And I never needed you And our days go by And I never needed you But now days go by And I never needed you But now days go by And I never needed you

Probably the most happiest saddest song ever and one of my all times favorites. Reminds of all the love I experienced and the pain it came with but at the end of the day I’m still strong.
The drums sound nothing like those bands at all and they definitely do not sound goth at all so they do not sound like joy division also the guitar is way to simple to sound like Jonny mar of the smiths
