I'm watching this still but I had to say how funny "he has the dinky-ist little beak" . So true, I have to bring the painting right up to my face sometimes to see what I painted😞😊😄. I'll watch this and pause you when I make my attemp😁. So, handsome your swallow is...gorgeous painting. 👍👍👍👍👍
This painting is absolutely beautiful! I love how you give such great instruction every step of the way. You are not only a very talented artist but you help people grow in their art journey. I'm very grateful for your instructions. 😊👏

Beautiful. The tree swallow around here dive bomb you when you are riding on the lawn mower. David will you be having this as a pattern to purchase and paint?
Hi I just wanted you to know I painted this bird and put it on Me We. I don't know if I did it right but hopefully it's there with my post. I couldn't see it on the latest posts🤔🙄. I just wanted to show you how it came out...thanks to you!😁
Hi Dave, I am a big fan of you and your beautiful bird paintings. I want to ask this very basic question...when you sketch the bird before you paint, what kind of pencil do you use? I spend a lot of time drawing the bird and then when I paint the background across the bird sketch, like you do, when I wipe it off to see the bird sketch again, my drawing wipes off and I have to start over! HELP!
Hi Robert, I just use a #2 pencil. Sounds like your background is too slick. I use just Heritage paint. So the background is matte. The pencil sticks really well. If your using a different acrylic that has vinyl in it, it will always wipe off.
Hello Dave,
What a wonderful bird and colour. Fabulous as usual.
Thank you Dave🌹
You are very welcome Nada 😀

Hi David. Great video. I wonder if your ancestors are from Holland. Jansen is just as comman here as Brown or Smith in the USA.
Norway is where my family is from. Jansen is my fathers adopted last name. He was adopted after WW2.
I would like to read about calligraphy, what would you recommend? 💐
I first saw the word used to describe the brushwork of Dutch Master Frans Hals in Al Gury's book "Alla Prima". Look for that one first.
