I know Roman's dead and I've seen Vol. 8. Well, I also really liked the ship and saw theory on how he could have possibly survived. Also, I kinda wanted to see what their kid might have looked like. Plus in the RWBY After the Fall book 1, it explains how Coco was eaten alive by a Grimm and survived.
